Yeah, the shine and jam gel looks more smoother and shiny, but both of the products are great! Your hair really looks good and healthy.
You are so right. Shine and Jam comes off. I think it is used for just braiding. Doesn't bind the hair. especially if you put it in hot weather. the hair would just come off. My advice is to have both and use them appropriately. Eco styler truly holds the hair and Shine and Jam doesn't leave flakes.
I will also try both on my daughter's hair and see first hand. Thanks for the review coz I want to buy them now.
I tried both of these products and Eco didn't do anything for my hair BUT ShinenJam worked for my hair 👏🏿👏🏿
Brilliant comparative review. Much appreciated. Thank you, love from Wales UK
You've done your best dear. Once you haven't used both products, it is difficult to tell which is better. I'd advice it's mixed, most tutorials use the mixed method.
Such an informative video, well done !
Thanks! I was wondering about the shine n’ jam
I apply just a little bit more than you did of the shine n jam..Im pretty generous. Then I get that sleek slick look. Then I top
it off with a light coating of frizz control hair spray. It keeps it in place perfectly and shiny with no flaking or residue.
Also, I think shine n Jam works better when used during braiding of hair
Yeah, you may be right ,I have never used it for braiding before tho but I think it worked great for the hair ordinarily too 😊
@@eduns123 it depends, because there are some shine and gels that don’t have any flakes and some do so yea.
@@eduns123 i use the regular yellow jar when i braid peoples hair, it seems to be very conditioning because it doesn’t get very hair so no hard crusty buildup. hope this helps :)
Yes!! shine jam is lay it down that good gel!! I hate flaking!!
I've done slick backs with jam and a bit of edge control on top to hold and it worked pretty well. And that's saying something I have very thick 4c hair lol
For me I prefer eco because shine jam just doesn't bring flakes but it gets really oily and holds the hair after applying but after an hour it doesn't hold anymore but the only problem with eco is flaking and I use gel once a week and wash my hair once a week so I can just wash right after I mostly do protective styles with no gel I don't really use it that much but my opinion I prefer eco.
Thanks for the content! This is exactly what I needed to know before braiding my husbands hair.
Nice share my sis.
I love shine and jam, it keeps the hair moisturized.
Thank you I appreciate your view
Shine and jam gel is also kind of glittering more
Shine n jam works well with my hair I’ve been looking since what to hold my natural hair and shine n jam definitely did the job
Great smile...will love to see more of it. Appreciate the video. Thanks!
I use eco often and it doesn't really lay your hair down but it holds you can actually feel the hold and it doesn't flake or cause dandruff in my hair and I have a scalp condition
Well damn, when I sit here with flakes all up in my hair because of eco, I'm kind of sad.
Have you exprience any hair loss from using the eco styling gel i have heard some people have. Also could i put this in my hair before i get braids and would it be a problem if i mixed it up with my braids gel
thanks for sharing . I was planning to buy shine and jam but now I wont .I will just stick to my ecostyler
Shine and jam works good on my hair
In the 90s I used a product called jam
I don’t think you’re supposed to use water with the shine N jam 🤔 you can use it with Eco styler but the jam is used on dry stretched hair
Thanks for the video 😀. Just as a tip for next time: try to explain or clarify things less. Some details are not important for the review. If you explain less the video will be short and will attract traffic. There is generally no time & we go for quick tutorials & vids.
All the best!
New subbie! ♥️
Finally......
Thank you for the difference on 4c hair.....
My hair loves shine and jam, sleek without a scarf
@@chantalgleason9365 a day on a style where my hair is out , sometimes two or two if I set it right on my hair but not my edges. It last most of my protective styles tho like twist
Where can I get the Eco styler gell
Sorry to bother you. Can you please let me know if the Shine n Jam works for fixing brows?
You should divide each half into 4. Your hair is too thick for just just two slick down sections
I prefer shine n’ jam gel
Is it only that leaves white spots on my hair when ever I use gel? 😭 I can't even wear for 2 days and it already looks dirty.
Or the shine n jam gel get ur hair oily?
Why does shine and jam gel turn white?
Thank you.
Can it be use on relaxed hair
I just want to say that if the Shine N Jam Gel I just ordered doesn't work, I will legit cry.
Eco Styler gel does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for me and I must be the only one who hates it as a result.
Gorilla Snot issa struggle.
Let's see how Shine N Jam comes out 🤞🏾
Lol😅😅 shine and jam should hold your hair ,don’t worry , the problem is ,how many did you buy because you will need a lot over time 😄
Thanks sis
I just think that shine and jam only holds the hair for a while..but it moisturize the hair better than eco styler gel..eco styler holds the hair for a long time but it causes frizz and all.. and I think shine and jam is more of a conditioner than eco styler
have you tried using them both at the same time, like the jam first with eco on top?
I have. It works perfectly, shine n jam helps control ecostyler frizz.
I don't think that you should have used the spray. That spray is what caused waves.
I don't know if it's just me but when I use shine jam then it likes melt 😐
I don’t like that eco styler . Green is better
Hi, please, which gel should I use for packing gel? Thanks
Does the shine n jam gel get ur hair hard when it dry ??
No. I find that shine n jam doesn't actually dry, really. Honestly, I wouldn't really even call it a gel in the typical sense. It's a little more like all-over edge control.
Shine and jam turn white why is zit like dat
Does anyone know if this gel is natural? As in, does it have natural ingredients. Or does it have harmful chemicals in it.
*INGREDIENTS: Aqua, Ceteareth-25, Glycerin, Oleth-5, Peg-20 Hydrogenated Lanolin, Mineral Oil, DMDM Hydantoin, Fragrance, Honey Extract, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Yellow 6, Red 5*

jam shine sucks can't believe I thought it would slick my hair plus I need a a 2c hair product
The fact that I used eco and then watched youtube videos until I heard about shine n jam just makes this video exactly the thing I needed to see. Thank you :D
