You're showing the Independence Class LCS, not the Zumwalt Destroyer in the start of the video !
exactly, this is the USS Kansas City, an LCS class ship
The Zumwalt class is the most expensive destroyer class. This is why there is only 3 of them.
Cant blame the guy, he is an aviation inclined content provider. LOL.
The two LCS classes of ship are not Destroyers.
@@jimwjohnq.public , we say 2 DDGXs loosely, Lyndon B. Johnson isn't even really seen unless she's on the East Coast. I'm in San Diego and we constantly see Monsoor and Zumwalt in the yards. The whole video is LCS's from what I've seen.

Why are we still talking about these ships? Didn't Navy cancel this project and will be retiring the whole littoral class fleet?
They cancelled the LCS because they did not meet expectations for one thing. They are going to decom about half of them.

Lost interest as soon as I noted you can not properly identify Naval Ship Classes. An LCS is not a "Destroyer".

I just don't get it, thinking of the Battleships of yesteryears. How in the hell are these ships going to fight off rounds and rounds of enemy guided missiles bearing straight down on them! Or being attacked from below from hostile subs.

Wrong ship class
Zumwalt has a Tumblehome hull design not a tri-hull, Tri-hull is Independance Class LCS (another colossal waste of money by the way). Zumwalt is much larger than LCS, its really a Cruiser but the US Navy doesn't like the Cruiser name anymore. Pretty much this whole video is ... wrong.

For more than a decade a debate between the power projection of USA navy to Chinas growing Navy (:excluding nuclear warheads on ships) would always end with this assumption that USA navy has superiority over Chinas naval ambitions because of this common claim USA naval fleet of less than 300 ships has more physical weight than the Chinese Navy of recent years that Chinas superiority in number of naval ships is easily neutralized for example the combined weight of USA 11 nuclear carriers is over 1million tons of hardware.tgat would be equivalent to 70 to 109 of the Chinese naval ships. those days are several years over,China continues to add to THIER naval fleet in. Added tonnage that USA shipyards are much much less capacity ..but I must remember that America has created concentrated wealth ratio that makes the infamous USA robber barons of the 1920s appear to be variety store robbers. Way to go USA elites favorite USA economics of debt capitalism later globalized to destroy USA free enterprise after January 1992..100%.
