Nobody wants to watch players that race-bait and use dirty tactics against a other player/s. It's as simple as that.

Earl Lloyd had "uncomfortable moments" as the first black player in the NBA, being spat on by a "fan".
And now look 70 years later, the. WNBA is owned, subsidized, and endowed by the 73% Black NBA.
Let's talk about what you're really uncomfortable about.😮

I watch Caitlin Clark and I see someone that is void of ra*ism, void of hate, void of personal agendas, void of anything other than the love of competition and playing basketball. How can you NOT like this kid? How can you NOT root for this kid! If you really think that rac*sm is the reason for her popularity, then maybe YOU are part of the problem.

Hi There, you're absolutely correct!! The treatment of CC by the league and its 'celebrities' throughout the season is unacceptable and morally reprehensible. The Commissioner ought to have stepped down by now. She isn't cut out for business! She let a golden chance slip by, one that could have elevated the WNBA to new heights in women's sports. She lost the chance to demonstrate her impartiality, yet her actions have consistently been political. DEI doesn't suffice; merit does, and CC has plenty of that!

That pretty much sums it up. The enthusiasm went out the window, when 22s team was eliminated. I'd drether watch almost any thing else, than the wnba. They will have to turn on one another now, because she was their #1 target to bully. She was doing what she does best, play bball. They couldn't out play her skills so, she is the enemy, and is stealing their thunder. While she was bringing in more fans and revenue, she unintentionally brought out their racism. So next we'll get to see and hear them play the old victim card, it's coming soon to a venue near you.

The fact that no fouled was called, nor any disciplinary action done was appalling.
Replays showed Carrington pointing her long nails at CC's eyes.

The league and players are refusing to recognize the fan base and ticket sales have plunged significantly and the reasons run the gamut from white privilege to racism. Egos are very involved, and the WNBA is not being run like a business. Nike just nuked themselves by not capitalizing on their contract with Clark. This again is just another terrible business decision. This will continue now that it has been announced she is going to Europe.

Nike is forcing Aja Wilson to be the face of the WNBA as the unanimous MVP. But that just doesn't cut it. Aja simply does not have Clark's charisma and attraction to the audience. In fact, the same goes for any other WNBA player for that matter. The buzz and the fizz is gone without Clark. Sorry, WNBA, you had your chance and you blew it!

Fans haven’t just lost interest in the WNBA with CC absent from the court, they’ve been positively been disgusted by how it conducts itself and what it represents.

Looks like it’s all types of fans who are boycotting/protesting the state of the play, the officiating, and the administration of the WNBA! In this instance, it’s a great message to the league and players that the culture within the WNBA needs to change for the better! Change is necessary if the league is to survive! They all also need to stop blaming one player and each stand in from of a mirror and wonder about their own part in the downfall of the league!

  • @XRPotential
    @XRPotential 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +7

It's not just her departure, it was the biased referring and lack of calls, the hatred and racism, the attacks on Caitlan on and off the court. It was the vitriol and nastiness displayed by many of the other players. It was the lack of skill that compounded the difference when she is on the court vs off the court and then the outrageous way she is treated by not getting a look in for the MVP awards, someone casting a vote against her in the Rookie of the Year when she is eclipsing all the records, and the person that got the vote can't even play basketball (queen of mebounds Angel Reece). New fans might stay around if there is respect, if it's fun to watch, if it's a fair sport, build fan loyalty, they will invest in a team and not just a player, disrespect and mistreat that loyalty and fans will leave in droves. They have a very real problem that many fans might not even come back to the WNBA next year. And this all starts at the top.

Most hate Aja, her attitude sucks. CC focuses on game. Even AI generated videos covering CC get higher view counts than the WNBA can without her.

I didn’t appreciate how CC was treated. The silence of the wnba is SO wrong, on so many levels, it’s deafening! For all the work CC did, she honestly deserved better.
The wnba SHOULD BE ASHAMED. I tuned in to watch THIS season and when I saw how CC was treated I tuned off/out. I’m just watching the wnba on the news now, if their actions on the events is to remain silent then they are complicit with the unfair/unjust treatment that happened to CC. RIGHT NOW, I don’t see myself tuning back to the wnba. The league, like the ratings, can RIGHTFULLY tank for it’s inactions.

This was obviously "written" by AI. Not only does this say the same thing over and over within this video, it's pretty much 90%-95% the same in ALL the videos, across almost all these various channels that covers/ed the Women's National Basketball Association, the WNBA (LOL!).

I enjoy watching good team basketball at high skill levels. I remember when West Chamberlain Russell Bird Magic Jordan and Kareem played and the excitement they brought especially with Kareem at the college level. Steff Curry's new creative movements to create shots and pass well through arms and legs are players that Kaitlin followed and learned from. Caitlin Clark is great to watch and include her humble and articulate interviews. She's a dignified civil young lady on and off the court.

It's not just Wilson, Clark went up against the entire WNBA. She was left off the Olympic Team, she took physical abuse on camera without and foul calls, other player's talked down to her on social media and interviews, and the league didn't stick up for her. Clark's own teammates at first didn't have her back. Clark went up against everyone and still outperformed nearly everyone. She was rightfully named rookie of the year and then other rookies, like Angel Reese, took offense to that. It's sickening. Clark did the right thing and left the WNBA as a statement. I hope nothing but the best on her next big adventures.

Caitlin Clark truly is a generational talent and a very classy young woman. That’s why she had the college and WNBA fan and media draw. Before her, no one was watching the WNBA on TV or attending games at a high percentage. So it’s not a surprise that things normalized after Clark announced her departure. It’s just the way professional women’s sports go’s. No one would care if the WNBA folded.
