      Haha thanks Pete. The install will be easier than washing 4 dogs 🥸

    Great video, loved the dogs! Been looking at a similar van myself for a conversion (though a 2WD version, not sure I'd really get the benefit/use out of the AWD), looking forward to seeing the rest of the videos to get some advice!

    I am watching your videos because I am a yachtie and want upgrade my electrics this winter such that we can be indefinitely off-grid. I’ll be in touch about the unit. But in any case I really enjoy your videos.

      Hey hello, so I know very little about boats but keen to help for my own knowledge as I know a number have been fitted already in small boats and canal boats too. Keep me posted.

    Buddy enjoyed this video.
    I’m about to but a 4x4 man tge mwb.but looking at your lwb van it’s stunning 👌.
    Do you find it too big to be practical?
    I’d love to order one but worried about making a mistake.we currently have a 2wd tge and find it great but really want to build my own forever van for me n the mrs .also getting excited by the Clayton system rather than a full separate victron set up

    • @ahoyleisure
      @ahoyleisure  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      When I looked in a MWB I just knew it would be too small. I was worried about the size of the LWB but now I drive it without even thinking about it. It’s number and handles well. I had my father in law following me through France in a motorhome and they are a lot wider and harder to manage. I feel the LWB TGE/Crafter in the auto 4x4 is just a fantastic allrounder. Having a shower in the van plus room for bikes etc and still be able to get it through a mcdonald’s drive through. There’s not many that can do that 😎

      @jayt5970 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for that .
      I’m thinking bigger more room = better.
      Does the Clayton run your whole van electrical system?
      Just watched your lightweight interview recommended by rob (volkstrek) I was going to go with the vandermoon stuff so that definitely cemented my decision for the cupboards 👍🏻
      Thanks again for the response

      @ahoyleisure  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@jayt5970 Yeah we run the full van off the Clayton LPS 3000. The Vandermoon stuff is ace. I would have used more of their kit if doing a new build. Email me on mark@ahoy.co.uk when you are ready for a Clayton and I will make sure you get the best price.

    How's your garage shower connected? Is it on a separate water pump off the main water tank

    • @ahoyleisure
      @ahoyleisure  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No it’s on the same Fiama pump. It’s not complicated it just Ts off from my pluming in the rear arch of my van. One T from hot all the way from the boiler and T from cold after the pump and accumulator filter etc. I really should do a van tour I have loads of video from my build too.

      @@ChloeVerse Yeah they are super handy I’ve showered with it a few times in the summer too. Ah wicked you will be chuffed with it. We need to get a website sorted ASAP as people struggle to find us sometimes but we always offer the best prices.

      I have a kennel of siberian huskies and will be checking out your other videos for ideas, as I hope to be replacing my 2007 sprinter this year. Cheers, Mike

    Ok if you can afford £3000 for a battery my powerstation was under £1000 with 400w solar and a 12 van to battery inverter. I lift mine out and run my static caravan aswell all for £1000

    • @ahoyleisure
      @ahoyleisure  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are plenty of cheaper options. Some have poor dcdc charging or you need to buy an extra charger. Some have poor reliability issues. What model is your power station?
