If the UEE's main capital ship is about half the size of the Vanduul's second largest capital ship. The war against the Vanduul may be harder than I originally thought.
Not to mention there are more Vanduul capital ships on the way. Meaning we better get some Retributions out there pronto.
And the Vanduul themselves are about 7-8 feet tall and incredibly strong.
I guess we get to learn what the UNSC felt like.
John Rambo the only reason humanity isn't well and truly fucked is that the Vanduul are organised into small clans or "hordes" which would probably only have one kingship or driller each. These groups seem to have very little contact with each other and often go to war with other Vanduul groups.
If the Vanduul were united and dedicated to our defeat we would probably stand no chance. Kinda like the ork situation in warhammer 40k.
Then again, maybe there are bigger UEE ships that are yet to be revealed. Or maybe the UEE have adopted a doctrine based heavily on fighters and small craft.
Also UEE Technology and probably a large array of fleets at there command
Vanduul tech is far inferior when compared to UEE tech.
And there is only 1 Retribution that is still being constructed.

if UEE could have kept some retribution capital ship they could yeet the vanduul capital ship

Edit: Actually, Ret is 1100 meters shorter currently, Kingship is now 3854 meters according to the wiki

Dude that kingship will have more walking space than the citadel did in game(i realize the game doesn't let you explore the whole size of the citadel) I think you will be fine.

To be fair, the citadel didn't have that much walking space. Most of it was backdrop.
I don't know why, but I always imagined Bengal to be comparable with Kingship.... but... wow... Kingship's enormous!
well, retribution was created for the sole purpose of matching the kingships since it took several bengals to take down a single kingship

They've said time and again it'll come out when it''s done. In the mean time, it's only the best space sim out there.
I fully expect SQ42 to come out within two years.Maybe SC at the very end of the 2 year mark but that currently seems like a stretch. But even though it won't be complete by the time we make it to two years from now there will be plenty to do in the universe.

Sq42 is scoped for early-mid 2017
and you belive that? 3.0 was scoped for dec 2016 and now its scoped for second half of 2017..... i dont want 100+ videos about what is about to come i want to see progress. i dont care about all the videos i just want to play. with all those vids they just want to get more backers/money and they will milk the cow till its dead and in the end a lot of player will be disappointed.... thats whats happens if you start to make a game purely for profit and not cuz you srsly want to make the game of your dreams. Chris Roberts dream isnt the game anymore... its the money

Pfft some serious compensation going on there for the Vanduul.
The best thing about this clip is that we all know about the ships that were left out.
What we don't know is what ships were left out that we know nothing about.

I see the Idris picked up a couple of Freelancer style gun emplacements on the front quarter of the ship. It still looks under gunned. Needs more AA emplacements all over.

It is the same engine using many of the same assets and zones so they are. Progress on Star Citizen is progress on SQ42........
In this weeks newsletter, CR said that the sq42 vertical slice will be revealed once they complete full systems like subsumption ai, mission systems etc.. Give them time.
+Inlsun so they outright lied when they said it was very close to ready at Gamescom.
you know what that means? that means there's no reason to believe they aren't outright lying today just as much as they did during and prior to Gamescom.
You're more than welcome to feel that way I guess. Imo, the developers at CIG have been very open (in fact the most open game development to date) and people's frustrastration just show how much we want this game to succeed. Yeah Star Citizen is rumored to release in 2018 if everything is not way off devlopement schedule. by that time we've started on the gtx 1200 series (unless Nvidia changes name)
2018 seems like a very, VERY unlikely release date. What is actually "rumored" is that the release date is not sooner than 2019 and it's said that we'll be lucky if it will release late 2019 - early 2020. Also, GPUs won't matter as much in SC as processing power and memory. For the best experience, we'll be required to have 8-core CPU. Chris Roberts also said that they use apart from that, 32gb of RAM.

well I think that there are human ships of that size also the vanduul are semi nomadic if I remember correctly so the size is more understandable.

The Bengal is the biggest ship humanity has to my knowledge. Everything I've read about the Vanduul leads me to believe that they shouldn't even have space travel technology, not to mention giant flying cities propelled by rockets. I want to know where they get their technology from.

retribution is a beast and most likely bigger then the kingship by a good margin. i think it's a secret project or something though so the uee don't have it running yet.

The Vanduul got some pretty massive ships
an Imperial II-class star destroyer is about 1600 m long ... when the game is in a stage that there can be private serveres with mods and all I'd love to see a star wars mod with one in action.
Imagine player led battle groups. All of a sudden, a driller comes out of nowhere. Suddenly, the radio chatter explodes in panic. Ships are getting slung out of a Bengal at a super fast rate. And none of this is scripted. This is just players playing the game.
I'll bring some pop-corn to watch it from a distance...

The Bengal reminds me of a few League ships from the original Colony Wars.

Would have been nice if with the Kingship, they zoomed into it and there was a dude stood on top. You quickly lose the sense of scale because you forget exactly how big the human male is compared to the others.
Im just worried about the instances, if you fill up one of these there wont be room in instance for any opposition.

Thing is, I do not think they will create much of an interior for the kingship, seeing as it's purely an NPC ship, maybe some places to board and take over like in star wars battlefront 2, but idk about full in depth design like our ships.

Man, if the Bengal is thee biggest human ship then those fights against thee aliens are gonna be tough

Imagine capturing a Driller for your org? You could engage entire UEE fleets and have a good chance of winning.
And you would need an entire UEE fleet to capture it
To capture a ship of that size, i would research, develope and use some form of "ion weapon" that completely shuts down the ships systems, rendering it immobile and unable to defend itself.
Then i would use some form of chem-warfare to kill whatever is on it, send in squads to secure the ship in ABC-suits and vent the entire ship..
/collect.

What wonders me most is that in the recent Big Guns video the Bengal didn't look so short at all. I can't figure out how this is going to fit together.
It doesn't look that short at all, the length has not changed on it's stats you know. If anything the portions of the ship towards the mid/rear look chunkier.
