You may want to invest in a 'ground loop isolator' or a 'ground loop filter' to get rid of the electrical noise. I am curious if the alternator fixes it though.
Yo brother, just found your channel. Love the satire and good vibes. Have all mint, all documented, all low mileage, all Corvettes, a 96 coupe Z51 handling package, 95 convertible with factory hard top, a 2007 3LT Z51 in Atomic Orange and my pride and joy a 1964 Sting Ray. L76 motor 327 / 365hp, close ratio Muncie 4 speed, 40k miles, all matching numbers. But have to say the most fun to drive is the 07 absolutely love that car only has 11k miles. Beautiful Atomic Orange with tinted out windows, bad car. Put ZO6 rims on it which look amazing. My 2019 Scat Pack Chally in Sublime Green doesn't even compare when it comes to performance and handling. Keep the vids coming. And yes I am 59 but have not switched out to the New Balance velcro strap sneaks and never will...
My car had the same issue when I first installed a new sound system. If a new alternator doesn't fix the problem, it's one of two things (or both) either your ground wire and power wire are too close to each other, and need to be kept at a distance from eachother while being ran from the amp to the battery, Or your head unit isn't properly grounded, which is why interference is running from the alternator to the head unit. You can ground the head unit by wrapping copper wire around the RCA ports on the head unit and then keeping it tucked under a screw on the head unit to keep it in place. That's what fixed the problem for me.

Wish I had your mechanical skills and knowledge. Best wishes from Oceanside and the 99 C5!

Your Corvette is like an old Boomer Turd. It’s all locked up and making strange noises.
Ghost of Boomers Past taking revenge on your alternator for replacing the head unit bro 😮
The alternator expired like them
The C6 is allergic to being reliable
