Ms. Morales The Activated Charcoal gives a darker black than the black mica. But I like the sparkles that the black mica gives so I decided to mix the two :)
@@OpheliasSoapery no i mean like oils! And butters. Mine always comes out so much darker before adding colors and the colors morph into a weird ugly color

So pretty! And most soapers dont seem to think about a dark surface for placing lavender buds to prevent unsightly discoloration 😉

My lye only has water in it. When I add it to my oils and start blending that is the lye and oils emulsifying together :)

What oils do you use?
@@OpheliasSoapery ivtypically use olive, castor, coconut
Sometimes palm or canola depending on recipe
Those seem like lighter oils. I know extra virgin olive oil is way darker so I use regular olive oil, coconut oil and castor oil.
