Oof okay, gonna bump Bonds of Brass off my tbr then 😪oh girl-- the feelings between Harrow and Gideon just... holy shit, they are so complicated. I love them lol. Yeah, the confusion just continues. It's as though you start to figure things out but then just have more questions about the new stuff introduced 😂
I've only read The Space Between Worlds from this video and really enjoyed that. I can't wait to see what she writes next! I really want to get to gideon. People rave about that series!
Yeah I agree the end was a bit rushed. I also felt that the boys should have been aged up a bit to be midish 20s but I loved the twist and I adore a claustrophobic scifi with an ai you can’t entirely trust
Agreed!! I would have liked the boys to be in their 20s, but I do like a claustrophobic sci-fi & I live for an AI!! It was a really good and memorable read and I was really turning pages frantically at the twist!! I just think it kinda fizzled after such a wild twist 🥺
@@bookspastbedtime yeah. I hope that the author revisit Syfy with the older demographics in the future but I think a second try would be a five star I think he could get there. This was his first time riding outside of childrens fiction or middle grade
@@bookspastbedtime I definitely didn’t have any real issues with how their relationship built though it was solidly a 4 for me but the ending kept it from going any higher 🤷🏻♀️
Cozy scifi?you want cozy queer scifi? Have you heard the good word of Becky chambers? Literally any Becky chambers! But I will put in a strong bid for the Long Way to a Small Angry Planet or the Monk and the Robot…. I’m sure you’ve never heard me mention it haha
I’ve read The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet!! Have no fear friend!! I haven’t read The Monk and the Robot yet tho so I shall add that to the list!! 🥰
@@bookspastbedtime whew. It is my Solomon duty to try to convince anyone who hasn’t read the Wayfair series to pick it up book 3 made me sub in the most beautiful way. I think you’ll like Monk in the robot. There’s some thing just universally beautiful about the characters, the setting, and the message.
I think I have In The Lives of Puppets and I'm even more excited to read it, but I'll probably just do it while reading something else since the author is problematic.
Literally just here for the darkness outside us (and also because you’re amazing in all things and all ways)
Aw u 🥹🫶🏻
