There is a difference! I believe emulsions have a bit stronger flavor. However, I notice it more when I use emulsions in icing versus dough. For the butter vanilla I use here, it is from LorAnn’s. 😊
My recipe is very close but I use 4 TBSP merengue powder and 1 TBSP of extract. And I add 2 TBSP of light corn syrup last. Is adding it earlier what makes your icing seem so shiny?
Honestly, I’m not too sure! The shiny icing thing has always been a mystery to me, haha! Even though my recipe has remained the same, it comes out shiny at times and less shiny others! It has always baffled me! I always add my ingredients in this exact order, but I know many other bakers add them differently and have great success with their recipes, too. 😊
This is exactly how I make mine! Awesome to see a tutorial on it. Thank you 💞
Thank you! That’s awesome! 😊❤️
Thank you for sharing! Your recipe looks great! When it dries, does it have a glossy or matte finish?
Do you add white food coloring to your base recipe? If so, at what point do you add it?
Once flowers are made what's the storage life? How do you store them?😊
Is there a difference between emulsion and extracts? Where do you buy your emulsions?
