Damn it, Pete. Looking over my budget last night and swore to prune some discretionary spending this month. Now this episode, a little listening, and the CD has already been bought. But this is why your weekly reviews are always welcomed and appreciated. New music that might not be found otherwise. So thanks again with a special shout out to Jamie Laszlo for helping bring this to our attention.
Great to see Green Lung getting some love from SoT! Have you reviewed King Buffalo's "The Burden of Restlessness?" They also have another new album coming out on Friday (two releases in 2021!).
I really liked their first one. Right in my wheelhouse. I knew this was coming out, but had totally forgotten, so thanks for reminding me. I have listened to clips and really dig it, but was waiting for the whole album to completely jump in. Thanks, Pete!
Love this band, been following them since their first album dropped. When I'm like 40 I'll be looking back at these guys like the older generation looks at Sabbath.
Wow! I just heard the first 3 songs on this album, and you hit the nail on the head! I have never heard of these guys. The opening song sounds like Boston, Foreplay\Long Time. Will listen to the rest of it later!
Thanks for the review Pete. I'll have to check them out. I hope you'll listen to and review the new BLS album. I loved the direction that Zakk took with Grimmest Hits and I think that this new one takes it a step further by stretching out the solos and Zakk's vocals sound great.
I've had the album for a little while. Really, really good. 8/10. It probably won't make my top ten for the year cuz there was just a ton of stuff that came out, but it's close. Last yr it would've made it easy. I'm definitely going to pick up their first one.
I had to go and hear this album with such a glowing review. Um yeah, this album is great after a first listen. It will be in my rotation for a while and might turn into an amazing album. It has such a cool sound, great guitar tone, and great energy.
Nice one Pete. Great band, can't wait to see them live early next year. Have you listened to any Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs? Another great UK heavy band.
Nice to see a bit more doom so many great bands at the mo, duskwood wolftooth church of the cosmic skull the well ect... I know u like ur old doom stuff any chance of doing anything about the early 60s/70s band wicked lady are dark.
Hey Pete!! I know this is kinda random, but do you like Avenged Sevenfold and would you ever consider doing a ranking and/or review of their albums? There's 7 albums so it shouldn't be too hard to do. Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!! 🦃
@@seaoftranquilityprog oh ok. Some of their stuff reminds me of Dream Theater, ESPECIALLY their later stuff, and I know you like DT so you may wanna check out their albums, Nightmare or The Stage. Just a thought though. I understand if you're not a fan.
Just found this album and I am SO happy to find out you've reviewed it! I love everything about this album.... except the vocals. I don't even think it's the lead singer's fault, maybe something about the way the sound is mastered? But I'm warming up to it, and I seem to be the only one feeling this way. Does anyone else get what I mean? I'm curious to see if this will change over time as they get bigger or continue improving their sound. Either way, KILLER album.

Saw these guys for the first time at a fest last month. Bought this album after the gig, so glad I did, absolutely awesome 👍.
Sounds excellent….
When Pete says “ get it”
I get it…..
Ordered… 💥
Look forward to spinning this one.👍

Their first album is pretty good too. This one takes it to a new level, though.
Bro, the new Khemmis is awesome!
Thnk you so much. I will listen.
Woodland Rites( their first full length) is great too! Worth tracking down.
Wow! Just listened to this and it’s great. Reminds me a bit of early The Sword.
Man, am I late to the Green Lung party, but fuck, these guys are awesome. Looking forward to Pete's review of their new album.
Fantastic album. I concur.
Great band, finally talking my music preferences
Whoa. Thanks for the recommendation!
Vocals sound like a mix between Ozzy Osbourne and Tobias Forge, I really like them, really unique.
A greqt young band! This year is ending strong!

Good review 👍

Playing Desertfest in May
Pete, Pete, Pete. Please review SPIRITBOX - Eternal Blue......it's incredible!
I'm excited, I'm gonna check this band out, I've never heard of them, could be a possible 5 out of 5 really? Holyshit!
The best album that 70s era Black Sabbath never made
You need to get hold of This Heathen Land. Big uriah Heep vibes. Its my AOTY
Great band saw at Bloodstock
Svart means black in Swedish!
Check out True Widow
I hear some Type O Negative influence in the organ and bass

Any metal band that has a dedicated organist needs to be taken seriously.
Woodand Rites is a much better album.
