LYRICS (Taken from TH-cam Description):
Do you remember those midsummer nights at Alderley Edge?
Initiated to the craft
Skyclad and sword in hand you stood beneath a sea of stars
Forever my High Priestess
Maxine, nocturnally, I still see you in my dreams
Maxine, infernally, you have cast your curse on me
Do you remember those four golden years in Notting Hill Gate
The Book of Shadows open wide
You wore the moon crown upon the Grand Sabbat of Beltane
The chalice to my athame
Maxine, witch queen, priestess of the third degree
Maxine, witch queen, hierophant of Hecate
Maxine
I still remember you
You were drawing down the moon
Maxine, nocturnally, I still see you in my dreams
Maxine, eternally, will you ever set me free?
Maxine, witch queen, priestess of the third degree
Maxine, witch queen, hierophant of Hecate
Maxine

Green Lung are definitely one of the best new bands out there. You should definitely check out 'Let the Devil In' and 'Graveyard Sun'. Big fan of Ghost also and definitely see the similarities with this track.
Great reaction, keep it up!
A bit too psychedelic for my tastes, but I think this might be a song that grows on you if you listen to it more often. Definitely something different :) Loved hearing your reaction as always. Just wanted to say I noticed you got rid of the sneak preview. I miss it a little 😢
I am happy y'all enjoyed this song. I had a feeling y'all would like both the song and video. Even though I am a fan of doom metal, especially when combined with a psych/stoner feel, I had never heard of Green Lung until almost 6 months ago when they released their third full album, This Heathen Land. I was blown away when I first heard it and it would easily be in my top 10 metal albums of 2023 (and I listened to a lot of metal albums). Their previous two albums are called Woodland Rites and Black Harvest, so you get a pretty good understanding of the band from their album names. There are at least 2 more music videos for songs from the recent album, and I think y'all will enjoy how those were filmed. Each have that same horror movie theme but in totally different ways, just has the horror genre has so many sub genres.
Yes, we've never heard of them before until now, so thank you for the awesome introduction! They are great!
We love their tongue-in-cheek attitude and excellent music combination, somewhat similar to Ghost (which we also love). We look forward to hearing more of their stuff in future.
Thank you, as always, for the ongoing support, Dan. We appreciate YOU!
