Looks straight fire. People used hate on Cali for bbq but in recent years but it really has become a new bbq mecca if you know where to go. I appreciate the detailed descriptions.Love these bbq series brotha.
Hey Dan! This is one of my favorite videos! So glad you went here!! I've be wanted to eat here for along time... thanks a million for sharing this wonderful eating experience ❤
Wish the prices on the sides were a little bit lower, but the craft is there with the meats 100%. I eat there often because I have two houses up there in San Juan Capistrano I rent out. You should check out their Oceanside location, which is more Mexican inspired. People who say “ribs should fall off the bone” don’t know anything about barbecue. The way you get ribs stuff off the bone is over cooking them or even boiling them first (pressure cooker or not). For anybody that says otherwise I’ve literally been to the best Texas barbecue places with Kelcy Warren. My bigger question is what’s growing on that fan palm? I’ve been searching online to figure it out.
Having lived in Austin for nearly a decade, I can say that Heritage is very good and much appreciated. But not as good as a number of Austin places that I frequented back in the day, especially for the price. But like I said - I'm glad we have it here.
You have to try Lombardi's Deli in Petaluma, CA. They start the smoker everyday around 5:30am and have a line out the door daily. Best BBQ in Sonoma County. EDIT : Those sausages look delicious, and uniform. I can't believe how many they make for one day's worth of sales. It looks like hundreds of them. I can only imagine the "Snap" .
I like this place, on the weekend be prepared to stand in line for hours. Also, for first timers there can be sticker shock - a moderate amount food for 2 people can easily set you back $150 +
@ the east side of California, goes up along the eastern sierras and Death Valley, it’s a stunning drive I highly recommend it, and there’s a ton of amazing bbq spots
idk i drove from LA to try this bbq spot and me and my bf weren’t amazed by it … maybe we went on an off day? the chicken was dry the brisket wasn’t memorable he also had the ribs they were ok
You mentioned being in CA has advantages over TX with White Oak? It's no different than native post oak in TX, same exact taste. TX has far more varieties of wood to cook with. SoCal is mostly desert. And yes, Tri-Tip is cooked all over TX. You see it more in stores in the lone star state, than you do in CA. You would be amazed what TX has over CA, it's the beef capital of the country.
Hello, TH-cam Star- I have watched all your videos. Your videos are very nice. But there is some problem with your channel. Your channel is not optimized properly and your channel SEO score is very low, so your channel is not getting good views. That means you need to update your video optimization, like selecting an SEO-friendly video title, writing an attractive SEO-related description, and researching high-ranking targeted keywords according to your niche to rank your video. If you fix the problems on your channel, you will get subscribers and views on your channel. If you know more details please Drop a reply! Have a Good Day Best Regards Alamin
@mreppen1 You clearly don't know anything about good BBQ. I'm not steering people wrong. Their brisket is $40/lb and dry. Ribs aren't fall off the bone tender, and are $12/bone, which is ridiculous. All their sides suck, they simply don't taste good. Gave them 2 chances.
Hater for sure! Just went last week and definitely lived up to the hype which is super rare! Great atmosphere and the workers were really friendly! Keep up the good work!
Much better Dan...I hear less "right here" now. But, awkwardness with your interviewees needs to be improved and you need to have better questions and better interaction with your interviewees. I'm only trying to help your channel with advice. I suggest you watch travel host Samantha Brown, she is very comfortable with meeting new people and making it look smooth on camera
Dude, get a life. He doesn’t need your ass critiquing him to the highest level. WTF are your credentials? You’re an effing nobody obviously, because you’re concerned about a guy you never met.
That's my area. Heritage is real deal. Danny and his wife and team are awesome. Real craftsmanship.
Yes great bbq here
Looks straight fire. People used hate on Cali for bbq but in recent years but it really has become a new bbq mecca if you know where to go. I appreciate the detailed descriptions.Love these bbq series brotha.
Thank you! Yes there’s much to love in California

Heritage is def a great find in Cali
this looks like some amazing bbq especially in california
I need to try this place! Such a beautiful location too 🌊☀️
It is awesome! You need to check it out Leah

Damn. I'm from California, but that place is a 4 hour drive away. 🥲
There’s some bomb ass bbq spots off the 395 too 🔥🔥
Where is the 395?
@ the east side of California, goes up along the eastern sierras and Death Valley, it’s a stunning drive I highly recommend it, and there’s a ton of amazing bbq spots
@@MIKExMASSACREx awesome thanks Mike
You called it 10/10. 100%
Yee
Your video reminded me to go again!
Dang, excellent show
Thanks Rob
12:20 WHAT??? Texas does TriTip and its done perfect!!!
Lots of good tri tip coming from the Santa Maria area and Hearst Ranch.
I haven't been to Texas to try their great bbq but I still feel like I've tested it at heritage.
Heritage is great
Theres a gelato place nearby that is an excellent dessert spot. Next to the theater
Thanks for the rec
I've never had a bbq platter like that before 🥺
Heritage can make your dream come true
Try Smoke Queen Bbq and The Smoking Rib in garden grove
I’ve heard of smoke queen but not that other , thanks
idk i drove from LA to try this bbq spot and me and my bf weren’t amazed by it … maybe we went on an off day? the chicken was dry the brisket wasn’t memorable he also had the ribs they were ok
I live ten minutes away and still fail to go xP
Just posted your link in Yelp review. I only do this for businesses that deserve it.
Nice
Orange county ftw.
- mango
Hello mango
i need some charsiu pork in my life
The best town in SoCal
10/10 is too easy to grade.
They are one of the best in southerb california but you gotta visit up whrre im from in northern Cali... you comment back ill tell you where it is
lol spill the beans
Where in Norcal because I've tried a few bbq spots and they're trash compared to Texas.
You mentioned being in CA has advantages over TX with White Oak? It's no different than native post oak in TX, same exact taste. TX has far more varieties of wood to cook with. SoCal is mostly desert.

I said it can be a differentiating factor and yes I agree Texas bbq is amazing
Hi DVW 😊
Hello Victor
So they have a gym at work wow
We go jim
I don't even want a Traeger and even try. There's alot more than just buying a smoker.
Less work bruh
Woo , it’s an art

Sorry, but if you want the absolute best barbecue, you're gonna have to come to Texas.
This BBQ joint is overpriced.
Heritage BBQ is extremely overrated. Doesn't compare to BBQ you can get anywhere in the South that's way better.
It looks good
Yea. The ribs I got are extremely chewy and just taste awful.
But this is not the South. It’s a great place.
@ most BBQ places have weak sides. Anyways, each one has different taste’s. Like saying whataburger better than IN-N-OUT
These guys make so much money, it would nice if they donate all the meat we seen on the video to the homeless in LA.
I’m not sure about La but they do participate in community philanthropy and had a Thanksgiving turkey drive while I visited
This place is nasty! Sorry tried it and not good at all. Try Bad to The Bone nearby, very good.
Hater for sure! Just went last week and definitely lived up to the hype which is super rare! Great atmosphere and the workers were really friendly! Keep up the good work!
Bad to the bone 😂 that place don't even serve a pound, only 1/2 .. sounds like your 1st experience wasn't good. I recommend you go there again.
