Annual Investment Conference 2024 - How to become a better investor To answer this question, we have some of the world’s leading experts, including Marc Andreessen, Angela Duckworth, Annie Duke, Amy Edmondson, Adam Grant, Ole Andreas Halvorsen, Kristin Harila, Greg Jensen, Howard Marks, Michael Mauboussin, Marc Rowan, Robert Wallace, Jean Hynes and Patrick Healy. A lot of Russians would disagree with him strongly that lives were better after the breakup of the Soviet Union,

He talks at 2x speed. Europe won't be dynamic due to the overall tendency to regulate everything. That's why USA lead in technology.

Mark talks pure sense but unfortunately it’s not yet common sense. Hopefully more people hear it.

Thinking that we need to deregulate AI development because we are in an AI arms race against China, is probably one of the most dangerous and irresponsible ideas currently held by anyone in power. This is just another cold war narrative around another dangerous technology we understand even less than nuclear weapons. It also just happens to be a narrative that benefits VC investors, like Marc.
When people are, as Marc says, losing faith in technological development and the US economy, it's because the strategy of throwing venture cash after everything that moves produces returns to investors, but little benefit to society.

Your idea is basically what Europe is doing. Look at it now.

@@wenhuizhaous Yeah, look at it now, it has more AI companies than ever. Critics seem to forget that EU did not have any meaningful AI regulations on the book before ChatGPT came out. So the race to making a ChatGPT-like model clearly wasn't lost because of regulation.
It's also worth mentioning: It's better to not build AI, than to build an AI that can spin out of control.

he still sees China as another cold war opponent when things are drastically different. And to say people is happier after Soviet Union was divided is what level speech here?… Can't imagine some investors get such shortsighted and arrogant mind can be trusted to do investment.

How pathetic the Americans still treat China as Soviet Union while China has always tried to make progress by itself. That's why u will always lose with this zero-sum mindset but not a win-win mindset. And the I have listened a lot of your podcast . This one is really disgusting to say' beat China'. How pathetic it is when your opponent- China never wants and says things like this. Shame on u.
