Henrik must be a very interesting Man. I would bet that he’s happy to go to “work” everyday when driven by a passion. I too was 13 yrs old in 1977 and because of my parents, Elvis music was a household norm. Just recently my Wife agreed that we should go to Memphis and Graceland to see what we can see. A true bucket lister for Me.

Maya here. I just wanted to say a few things about the England game. I’m not a fan of England and I think they were extremely unsportsmanlike this entire competition. The way they played with Denmark is unfair and I don’t think any team should play they way they did that day. If I’m being honest though they were playing better than us. We were tired and they were very offensive. But even thought they played a better game, they played an ugly one.
Now I will say. I’m happy for Italy’s win but I have so much compassion for those three young boys who missed England’s penalty. England’s fans have truly shown their ugly side this competition but the way they acted towards those boys is absolutely unacceptable. I wish those three boys the best in the future, and they’ll definitely have a good one. They’re all very talented.
I think Denmark had an amazing run and showed Europe snd the world that we’re a force to reckoned with. And even with what happened at the beginning and with losing one of our best players, the other team mates got to show Denmark how truly talented they were in their own right. I’m beyond proud of Denmark. 🇩🇰

TRUE! no penalty he fell on his own + another ball was in play 1.5m behind the guy who fell, which qualifies for a stop immedietly! laser in the eye of schmeichel, braking foot of one of the new substitutes in 1st half of overtime etc.... they should be ashamed very ashamed

And I was so lucky to meet Henrik when I worked for the local theatre, and we made a show centred around Elvis.

The Mansion is pretty cool, I am really looking forward to the Jonny Cash museum. And Randers Rainforest is always worth a visit. You can also take a walk along the river, some really nice spots along there, if you enjoy nature walks. And in the city center there are a few good places to eat and get beer, from the beer pipeline, yes that is a thing.

Damn, you guys are going to be one of the most cultured "danes", with all of this.
Most danes dont even go to the length of seeing, or even knowing 5% of what you have allready seen and know of our beautifull little spot on this planet.
Even thou I see myself as one dane whom have seen alot of denmark, both culture and nature wide, then I belive that I can only come close to half of what you guys have allready done, even thou I have had 46 years of headstart.
You guys is a trat to see every tuesday and friday, and a huge inspiration, to get out and really do and see all that I am missing to see, instead of staying the weekend at home, or even do more extended weekends i Denmark, instead of the usual London/Paris/Barcelona/etc.
It would be a treat to bump into you, should that happend one day :-)

Always nice to see you enjoying all the sights in Denmark :)
Glad to hear you like Den Gamle By as well, which is one of my absolute favorite attractions in Denmark. But that's just me being a history nerd!
If you plan to go there more than once per year, it's worth considering buying an annual membership/pass, if you haven't already. It also gives you the option of bringing a friend or companion along. I can't remember how old Maya is, but kids up until 17 are free aswell. It's a nice way to ensure that Den Gamle By keeps having revenue, and can survive and make new cool stuff.
    Much love, from Nordjylland

Randers is underrated. (And I underrated it for many years myself, until I had to kill a few hours there and realised it's really quite a pretty town in many ways!)
Basically I think a lot of provincial towns are underrated; they might not have a ton of attractions, but many of them have something that's worth making a detour for - and Randers of course has some pretty big attractions, but also a really pretty old church, some lovely streets and buildings, and basically everything you need for a nice day or weekend.

    • @TravelinYoung

You're probably aware, but you're pronouncing Randers wrong. You need to pronounce the "a" more sharply, like the "a" in "Shark", or danish word for kind; "rar"
Secondly, the "d" is silent. Though I don't blame you, you're likely used to pronouncing d's when you see them after n's, such as the name Rand Paul - but this is wrong. (And you did do it right in the second half of the video)
Finally, the "er" sound is actually more of an english "or" sound, or the way you pronounce "os" in danish.
