I still remember reading an Interview with Ernst in 1999/2000, when he mention full Elvis Sessions will never be release on FTD and the FTD CD Label lastet for about 5-6 Years and that's it! This is really "Fun" ...and not in Acapulco only 😆. Yeah FTD; let's all of Elvis COMPLETE Recording Sessions coming in please! Thanks for another great episode and congrats and a big compliment to Jamie's Mum & Granny making this excellent Mike Windgren "El Toro Jacket"👌

I think these sessions are the best recorded (engineered) of all of Elvis's soundtrack recordings. It's a shame they all weren't recorded this well. Such a clear full sound without any distortion. Very little tape hiss (compared to soundtracks that came later). I guess the budget was a bit higher on this one. Elvis of course is in great sounding voice as well.

Yes, we absolutely will - and given the release schedule we've had so far (which has seen the non-soundtrack sessions released in basically chronological order), we'd guess that the 1966 "How Great Thou Art" sessions is likely next. But they might throw a curveball and give us another movie soundtrack, and I love it all, so either way will be good!

Good question! There's not much, but there are a few seconds of outtake footage on the old "Elvis In Hollywood" documentary, and I think that footage is still in the DVD version.
