@@carpetcleanertraining8020 I’m about to start an area rug cleaning “business”(as a starting point) in my backyard. However because I am spankin new at this, for now I’ve started collecting thrown out dirty rugs to start cleaning to practice on. I have hand/manual tools, no machines yet. Should I get the round rotary first or the crb first? I’d there a good site to find used machines? Also I’m having issues with finding a good line of products to use. To start with I’ve bought Chempro products. Haven’t used them yet. I did watch your courses by the way, thank you. Which line of product is most flexible, available, and reliable(in Cali)? I have a lot of questions actually. So far I have all types of rugs to clean. Wool, cotton shags with jute backing, all that. The wool rug is old and shows signs of bleeding(red). Should I use Dye-Loc to pre spray?
Love your videos.. Very informative and straight to the point. On a "kind of" off subject... What kind of camera are you using to record these videos? In the shadows, it looks to be as small as a GoPro type. Whatever you're using, it takes great shots!
what do you think about washing a 9 x 14 karastan (machine made) rug yourself? bad idea perhaps? we were going to wait til very hot summer weather just in case, extract, prop fans underneath, willing to do extra steps. it's the golden bokhara design, relatively dark.. we are worried about it drying because of the size. hot california summer good enough?
You will be totally fine even 70s is great to dry outside in the sun. Put the blowers underneath and float the rug. Karistan rugs are a good start to do yourself the dyes are usually stable but still test to be sure but if it's gold you should have no issues. Where in California are you.
What if a guy doesn’t have a vacuum? Can I just squeegee the rug and let it dry ? I’m Redding now and it’s 105° out. It’s pretty thick as well like 1” 9’x12’
With a thicker rug they hold a ton of water so it's going to take a long time to dry. Put blowers under it and try to float it. It will dry eventually but I would try to find a way to suck it out. Rent possibly
Glad to see you're posting again...always enjoy your content - thank you
Sorry for the delay

You are welcome.
Great video!
Thanks!
I’m in Cali. I’d like your guidance if you’re still available.
How can I help you?

Sure the outdoor shots are usualy a cheap go pro white. All of the indoor vids are shot with a sony A6000 unless it's old then it was all gopro
