Awesome, you’re representing Wyoming. Watched your fender cutting video, been wanting to do it like you did but maybe leave 1/4”-1/2” more on the side. Love the Gobi!
Thanks, we did a friend’s wife’s fenders and left about an inch of the side and the side light on. It looked ok, and certainly gave it more clearance. It still needed the fender liner to be cut back then though, we kept the fender support in tact.
Awesome trailer modifications. I boughtbthe same RTT from a friend and he threw in the M101 CDN trailer. He had repainted the while thing and installed LED lights and new wiring, but otherwise it's stock. I'm planning many of the same upgrades you have done and have so many questions for you. How tall is the lid/topper you added? What hinges did you use use? Is the articulating rack your own design? Do you have any drawings or plans for that? Have you considered cutting a rear tailgate into the tub? I'm thinking of doing that and using full length tailgate drawer slides for easier access to the contents of the tub
Hey Sean, glad you liked the video. I really enjoyed modding the trailer, they're a great trailer to start from aren't they? The lid was about 8" tall (you can see more glimpses of it in one of my the old videos when I made when I lined the trailer) tub. Yeah the articulated platform for the roof was a design a buddy and I came up with. Regarding Tail Gate, I was in two minds whether or not to do it. It reduces the integrity of the tub and it could start to splay out with the weight of the lid. If I did do it I would leave the bar that goes along the top of the tub to keep the strength in the tub. Happy to chat more if you message me through my Off The Beaten Track - Canada FaceBook channel, I can share build build photos.
Hi, did I see that right, you zipped the. OzTent into the Rhino Rack awning? The two zips are the same teeth size? Good review, and funny to hear a Yorkshireman in AB, mind you I'm a Scouser in BC. Cheers!
Oh haha ey up! Yes, the zip is the same and it zips straight onto the awning. Oz tent do a framed version of that tent but the tag-along is frameless and zips onto the awning.
That batwing awning is really cool too. I have a standard 6x8' awning for now but this video has me really considering an upgrade.
Did you get your upgrade?

The cap is from a road trip I made down there with family, I love to visit Wyoming.
