The wrench is used to release the tension from the driveline, so we can shift into reverese. We don't have al clutch so thats why the wrench is needed.
I find this video fascinating both as a pulling fan and as someone who has worked in the aerospace field for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. What sort of transmission and driveline does this use?
Yes, the tachometer display's the rpm from the final driveshaft, during driving on track this rpm is to low to display on the tachometer so it seems like it doesn't work.
Awesome video! and awesome pull! I love tractor pulling in Germany it put our American pullers to shame you guys have making full pull down to a science!!! Keep up the good work. Subscribing!
You are right Scowel, we use a seperate breake pedal for the left and right rear wheel so we can change direction even if the front wheels are in the air. And the pedals ar just out of view of the onboard cam.
Thanks I was wondering what matey was doing with the torque wrench, I gotta say that I find the technology, skills & sheer ingenuity of these beast's to be far more interesting than the actual end result. Are there any aerospace engineers required to run a machine like this or are you all die-hard enthusiasts?
Groet, Max
What a beautiful machine, well done!!

I love the "clutch" to select forward or reverse.

This is fantastic

Put american pullers to shame lol I think not. U ain't been around then

holy shit those exhaust are huge

No shortage of power there!
The fuel tank is located inbetween the two lower engines an can hold about 60 liters
very cool loving it turbine keep up the posts!!
These are indeed the Klimov TV3-117 but they are the low power version with 1900 hp each
Thanx!
thank you.

they are sick!
He's operating the clutch.
Looks like the bar is for the clutch... notice its use in shifting from forward to reverse.
what size tires do top fuel dragsters use? maybe those will work
whats that cart with the hose for? Fuel?
Unreal
CHAOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
any rough estimate for how much they cost?
So is the big 10K tach for the drive line RPM or something?
top fuel is 8000 hp also, but the tractors are build for a different purpose, different gearing, etc
real car freak
whats the guy with the large wrench doing on the right side??
OK,now the tach don`t work till he starts down the track, what does it run off of,,Final Drive RPM??
What is this monster powered by? Some sort of turbine engine?

Were is the fuel tank and how many liters of fuel can it hold?
ty

What does the tach read? Transmission rpm?
and how long does it last?
hoeveel ton trekt hij eigelijk?
Does it not matter if dirt gets flung into the exhaust?
why such a small steering wheel?
3:25 for something intersting
wonder how much just electronics on the "dash" cost
what if they put slicks on it and take it to the drag strip ? :D
Anyone know how much is beasts go for?
Would probably spin the wheels until the tires burst without it getting anywhere :P Too much torque and horsepower :P
Today I learned people actually do this lol.
thats what im fuckin sayin!!!!
HELL I'VE SEEN 5 X V8 -2 X JET TO THIS 4 X JET GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG😆😂🤪
Today I learned: Tractor pulls are cooler in Europe. hrm
I don't see 'rudder pedals' to brake each rear wheel, like I see in other tractors... perhaps they're there out of view.
top fuellhave 7000-900hp depending on conditions
easy with the throttle now
Why steer when the front wheels are a foot off the ground 🤣😊
I think he's meaning who funded it... labor/time/parts... all of it is PAID for at some point. ;)
I'm seeing about $1,500 for the IQ3 with datalogger... so probably 3 fold of that... This is in U.S. currency.. So about 1,149 euros
What did it cost to build this monster???
These are Isotov TV3-117s. 2,200 shp each.
u get better control over it
this is what youd need to pull hell off its henges....

Too many noises for me give me the v-8's ... 8)
haha just saying
so small rudder
