The awning looks good and you look very relaxed. Some of our best times were when the grandchildren were very young. They too liked a 'bit of retail'.... Enjoy every moment.
Hi Martin. Thanks for watching. This was aimed at Alfie. He loves swimming. Ah the awning there is a video coming out soon on that. Yes we did relax but had fun with Alfie. Sundays video will put this one into more perspective I hope. Thanks Phil & Juliet👍🙂
We went there about 11yrs ago. We had a tent pitch. One daughter had al rental caravan & the other had a studio. The grandchildren enjoyed it & entered talent comps, fancy dress etc. I think the price is a bit steep. I did like the variety of facilities in the washroom although I thought it was a bit chilly. Good pot was area
Hi Linda. I think it's not changed much since you last went. Alfie loves it, which was the point. As regards price point wait till Sundays Video as we reveal more and think some folk may not like what we have to say. Thanks Phil👍🙂
Don't review many family sites as I don't like my own kids let alone other peoples 🤣🤣🤣. Great review Phil, not one have been to, but looks nice. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Mark. We only go when we have Alfie in tow. I am very very fond of the Adults only bar🤔🍷. Normally it's fully serviced , Adult only sites for us. Thanks Phil & Juliet🙂👍
We had booked up a static 70 foot caravan for a week and when we got there they told us only apartments were left. We had to take an apartment or would ruin the holiday. The apartment was awful, the beds were too short. the apartment too dark, Have now learned to look at a site map before going on a holiday to ensure there is no apartments they can fob onto us, as we prefer caravans. Also a word of warning as the fish and shop just outside of the campsite is the worst in the UK, had to give our discusting fish and chips to the seagulls. Next day we found Mario's in Silloth town opposite the Spar shop, and that sold decent cod and chip.
Thanks for your comment. I cannot comment on the Apartments or Statics being a Caravan Owner. We never went to the Chippy but the Food at the Columbian Pub was lovely. Many Thanks Phil.
@@lostweekendscaravan Agree, Been to that pub too. Seemed to spend our time walking and eating & drinking, but that's what holidays are about LOL, Cheers Fred.
You can walk from the caravan park into Silloth town only 20 minutes away, and it is full of greenery in the seafront park (though was brown as a crisp when we were there due to the heat wave LOL), and also has seafront walks for miles in both directions. we did not like the caravan site as per my other comment above, as they put us in an apartment instead of a caravan, but was handy for Silloth. We have since found a better caravan park at the other end of the town called Solway holiday village, and is far superior than Stanwix , it has caravans and chalets for hire (some chalets come with hot tubs as an extra), It also takes mobile caravans and tents.

Good news the chippy has now closed and up for sale, health issues I suspect, 😊
@@TonyDennett-q8g Glad to hear that.
That’s not a caravan site! That’s a shopping centre and leisure centre combined! Where’s the grass and the countryside views?
It's aimed at a particular market and for that it does look to do a very good job.
Hi Sandra. Thanks for your comment. Yes its aimed at the kids. Sundays video will hopefully explain more. Thanks Phil👍🙂
