Lead Us, Heavenly Father, Lead Us (Tune: Mannheim - 3vv) [with lyrics for congregations]

"Lead Us, Heavenly Father, Lead Us" was written by the prolific English hymn writer James Edmeston, who wrote over 2000 hymns. It was published in 1821.
The tune is 'Mannheim' written by Friedrich Filitz, who published a series of German chorale tunes in 1845. It was harmonised by the American musician, Lowell Mason.
It is performed here by The London Fox Choir.

This was our school hymn as a kid.A very appropriate one in these dark days that lie ahead. The last verse is very relevant. We must continue to have hope. Good always overcomes evil in the end. God provides us with rich blessings. Have faith 🙂👍

I searched for this hymn after praying for my country and our new government. With the pandemic there is a very difficult journey ahead. Dear God, bless us with your mercies.
