    Can you quote your references?

Sure. I’ve listed some of the sources from my notes below. However, if you are after anything more specific or I’ve missed one of the factors that I’ve mentioned that you’re interested in, let me know and I’ll do my best to provide. My clinical experience also comes in to it, as does my opinion - particularly in the final category as mentioned. Hope that helps.
      Neurodevelopment:

Paracetamol sources covered in video on that, see description for link.

Sugar / fructose - many sources deal with this effect on child neurodevelopment, eg Metabolic by Robert Lustig.

No worries @@stephentroake7155 And thanks for asking. Can be annoying when people don't quote their sources - your question made me get my somewhat haphazard notes and references in slightly better order 🤣

This video should have more views but something tells me you’re up against the dystopian algorithm.

ADHD and genetics: there was a comment that ADHD is clearly genetic and I was spreading misinformation. It seems to have disappeared (I'm unsure why) but I'll post my reply as I thought it was worth discussing:
'Firstly, ADHD is diagnosed on clinical symptoms, so people can and will be diagnosed who do not have the genetic variations I am guessing you are alluding to - and in fact may have something completely different going on e.g. poor sleep. Secondly, there may be research on genes involved. But I would argue these represent genetic predisposition. Clearly not in the same category as a genetic disease e.g. cystic fibrosis, where you can just run a blood test to determine. Even twin / adoption studies in ADHD, which could be interpreted as 'proof' of genetics, still have those involved experiencing much of the same environmental factors that I think are at play. Telling my patient's that ADHD is genetic full stop does not help them with their symptoms much. I am trying to spread information that may help people take practical lifestyle steps to improve their symptoms.'

I was given lansoprazole couple of years ago. I refuse to take them. Im heading to cutting out processed foods anyway and trying to eat naturally. Olive or avocado oil only, proper butter and so on. So much to learn.
New subscriber by the way 😁
Finding it hard to trust medical professionals sadly. Sorry 😟

Nice one, hopefully cutting out processed foods will make a big difference. Thanks for subscribing :)

Hello there, i was recently diagnosed with ADHD at 51 years old, i’ve had this all my life (Old called ADD now called Inattentive type) i’m currently looking at natural remedies/foods and so would appreciate any advice or recommendations please, thank you 🙏

Hi, diet can definitely play a major role as can your gut microbiome, so some things to consider: 1. eliminating processed carbs (sugar, white flour etc), 2. some people will find a low carb diet also helps (and indeed some people have incredible results on a keto diet though this can be hard!). Generally speaking, filling up on protein/fibre/unprocessed fat rather than carbs is probably a good bet. 3. Regular long chain omega intake (ie wild caught oily fish) likely a very important factor, and will help with vit D too. 4. A daily probiotic food eg kefir / raw sauerkraut. 5. Iron / zinc important factors for some people - red meat would cover these. 6. Avoid processed foods inc artificial colouring / sweeteners / preservatives, as well as seed oils like vegetable/sunflower oil (these block actions of long chain omega 3s). 7. I'd also recommend proper overnight fast overnight if you don't already do so, ie at minimum 12 hours, maybe more like 14 if that works for you. I hope you find this helpful! Feel free to ask anything else, and all the best.

Don't you find it interesting that SO many people are being "diagnosed" with "adhd/autism" and all manner of other labels?
Why? To get more people onto medication?
There's a psychiatrist on yt who did a 2 hour talk on how he went to interview the first group of drs who put the first several editions of the dsm together. He said none of the illnesses had any sound scientific data behind them, that this group of drs voted on symptoms if they couldn't come to an agreement on which behaviours to include that symptoms were left out of certain illnesses because a member did that particular behaviour, and didn't want to be labelled as having that illness....the lies and corruption go back so far, we all really need to be more awake, and take an interest in what's going on in the world.

Not sure that I actually believe ADHD. In my experience poor parenting is the problem, but that can't be medicated.
Why does everyone want a label these days?

    • @drphilipbosanquet
      @drphilipbosanquet  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

In some cases (not all), people use labels to reduce levels of personal responsibility unfortunately, which obviously isn't going to help get to the root cause. Also saves time in the doctors office: here's the label, here's the pill.

Many people are diagnosed when they are already adults and they are not being parented anymore. Just because you never experienced it does not mean it's not real. Consider yourself lucky not to have it because it disrupts every area of life and makes everything more difficult compared to people who don't have it.

As for labels, that's such a nonsensical thing to say. How would you treat a health issue if you don't even have a name for it? It's like saying to diabetics not to label themselves. Everything has its name.

i have ADHD, when i was a child it was called something else. i experienced poor parenting growing up, fully support that is one possible cause. i also worked in hectic, workplaces, hectic as they were poorly managed so any headway i made in dealing with ADHD was gone.
gut issues and diet are just as large of factors in ADHD IMHO/expereince
