Applause! Thanks. Well done. Best explanation for FCP-Why? Audio +video matches. While your talking about what your doing camera shows what your doing. Zooming on inspector while clicking stuff and telling us what your clicking. This helps people who watch on smaller screens, mobile devices.
Very good transitions ... I had to see the beginning twice to realize if you made any cuts or if it was just 2 shots ... I think you nailed 1000% the whole concept of speedramp and transitions...
First, thank you for showing how you videoed the shots. Most videos out there only show how to edit the footage. I found this video absolutely useful and thank you for explaining it all. Will definitely subscribe to your channel.
Love your videos Peter. Great explanation for the layperson,,,up until 5:45 of the video and then you lost me brother. LOL. I will watch it several times and hopefully catch on. Either way, keep up the great work.
Evolution and iteration is always the key to progression, loved this "first try" on the effect, would be great to see a follow up video or two in the near future based on your own thoughts from this video about what you could improve the next time, to see the whole process of evolution and refinement from attempt 1 to 2 and maybe to 3 :)
Another quality video and so explicit. 😍 However, I am French 🇫🇷 and I do not master English perfectly. But it's so easy to understand you. Thank you very much Peter ❤️. You are awesome ! Please continue to teach us great tricks because we love it.🔥
I really appreciate this tutorial as I get to test this out on my hand-held shots. While I do have a gimbal, I want to become more proficient at hand-held cinematography. Especially seeing the benefit of using the built-in zoom transition. Thanks again Bro 💪🏽💯
Haha I had fun for sure! Gonna dive deeper in to this since I’m NOT used to shoot b roll with a gimbal 😂. I give it 3 months and everyone will be tired of it 😬
Great tutorial Peter. What is the frame rate in the time line? This is a little bit confusing for me, i don't know what fps to shoot fro a specific frame rate timeline! Thanks
As always Peter, I'm learning new things from you. I had no idea about using the 'zoom' function to get that silky look to the speed ramps. Cheers Mate, Love your work.
Man forget the speed ramp.... the other 2 tips made this even more worth it... he said matting the colors and that zoom look sold the hole thing .... wow
DAMN IT PETER!!!! Why must you make such good videos, I don't have time to watch everyone's channel and I have to cut off.......... Sam Kolder... lol Sorry Sam.
Great video! Would you mind sharing gimbal settings? I struggle with setting the follow speed and other settings correctly and I end up with really NOT smooth footage - snapping from point to point. Thanks! 🙏🙏
Great tutorial! I’ve been seeing quite a few videos like this and was curious how each editor was creating them. I’ve also seen people using their drone as a handheld gimbal, but may not be as smooth as the RS3. Thanks! 👍🏻
Hello... Thank you for the beautiful explanation and the most beautiful photography.. I hope you will put the translation into Arabic only. It is available... Can you explain in Premiere Pro .
@@PeterLindgren1 I think you've nailed it, seems the logical step, also moving slow at 100fps means less motion blur and can insinuate a faster frame rate / more slo mo (not sure how best to phrase that)... move slow while shooting at 100fps to fake shooting at 200fps lol
Best tutorial on this effect on FCPX. Literally saved me at least 1h of “trying to figure it out”. Thank you! Thank you so much!!!

That ending shot with the desk is fire!
Yay, tutorial Peter is back. Great video, bro 🙌
Gonna be WAY more FCPX tutorials coming 😬
@@PeterLindgren1 I'll be taking notes 😅
I’m really glad you made this- I saw that Reel and was reely confused about how it was edited!
Does it make a difference what frame rate you shooting in ????
Very good transitions ... I had to see the beginning twice to realize if you made any cuts or if it was just 2 shots ... I think you nailed 1000% the whole concept of speedramp and transitions...
Well.... now I have to spend my whole weekend doing this to everything in my house. And try to do it in Resolve :D great video!
Going to give this a shot on my channel this week, thanks for all the help P, its definitely helped me with my channel and production value! 🎯
Holy crap!! ur desk setup = Level 9000!!!

Great tutorial Peter! Definitely seen a ton of car videos with this technique recently!
I’m not even close to the smoothness of those, but was fun to give it a try!

Great video Peter - I have quick question - did you film for 60FPS?
And the B-roll enthusiast are going wild! 😄 Looked like you had fun making this 😊 Maybe this is the next big TH-cam "thing" 😎

As always Peter, I'm learning new things from you. I had no idea about using the 'zoom' function to get that silky look to the speed ramps. Cheers Mate, Love your work.
Was that one continuous motion for your desk shot or multiple chopped up with multiple lenses but thought out?
exactly what i was looking for today. thank you peter
Man forget the speed ramp.... the other 2 tips made this even more worth it... he said matting the colors and that zoom look sold the hole thing .... wow

What are your camera fps settings and then timeline fps settings ?
Amazing video and tutorial! Can you share how you set up the focus in each clip please? Thanks!
you are amazing man!!
Great video! Would you mind sharing gimbal settings? I struggle with setting the follow speed and other settings correctly and I end up with really NOT smooth footage - snapping from point to point. Thanks! 🙏🙏
Should I take in100pfs?
It gives that "WHOA" factor when watching fpv footage
Super useful Peter, thank you very much 👍
Great man, going to try this asap, Nice on the desk too haha
Never thought of this. Thanks for the great idea!

Thanks. A much needed tutorial here 💪🏽💯
A Hero 10 at 120fps with no gimbal should yield the same results right?
This is super neat! Thank you for such a detailed breakdown! 🙏🏾
nice, great tutorial =) 🔥🔥
bro is jacked, good for you man
Grymt! Kul att se hur små saker vävs ihop till en smooth feeling. Tack särskilt för tipset om shift-B!

Trendy, but super cool. I need to try this with my bike!

Thank you so much Peter, I have learnt a lot. You are such an inspiration!
Epic video dude, I've been wanting to try this technique
I have no idea if this is how they do it, but was the best I could do for a first try 😂
@@PeterLindgren1 I think you've nailed it, seems the logical step, also moving slow at 100fps means less motion blur and can insinuate a faster frame rate / more slo mo (not sure how best to phrase that)... move slow while shooting at 100fps to fake shooting at 200fps lol
so I need to film in 60fps or slow mo frames before editing
I learned something today and found useful yes
What sort of aperture did you use for these videos?
