Great intros, glad to see the improvement over the years! Keep up the great work!
Sunday February 25 2024 and Mr SixRingsOfSteel dropped the hardest intro known to man signifying a change in the world of intros as we know it. Classic Matt W

Nah you cant blame the Spurs for what happened. Primo actually looked like he had some potential that was the right fit for the gameplan later on but absolutely no one could've predicted for something crazy like what he did later on.
Still the worst outcome
Yeah bit of a hard one to blame em for, obviously they wouldn't have drafted him if they knew he was a fucked up little sex pest.
I agree, Primo pick got me excited because he's had some flashes of potential in his 2nd year. Samanic was the worst as a Spurs fan.
@@jaco2174flashes 😳
@@jaco2174 Don't know what you guys are watching... Primo's second year wasn't even that good,
I can argue that even Blake Wesley has a better 2nd year and more flashes of being great(At least defensively).
I feel like most Spurs fans were just craving for a "Future Guy" to put all their hopes on during that time,
so they tend to be overrating our own players.
About the Brooklyn pick and the Boston pick - both are now starters for the best team outside the NBA (Real Madrid)…
Btw Mario Hezonja is also great for Real…
It’s amazing to see how many great Euroleague players are here…
Vesely, Napier, Cuboclo…
i loved that intro!
i know edits like that are hard to make but in the end it was so cool
Intro definitely adds another flavor to these draft talk videos
Royce White had a weird thing going on where he was afraid of flying
Yeah has had some real mental health issues in his life.
He does has issues. Some of which have caused him to become a horrible human being as well.
what an intro matt 😩
Intro looked so good Matt, keep it up man
0:16 love the Mike Korzemba clip
There is absolutely zero chance DSJ was a worse pick for the Mavs than Shane Larkin
Bender three spots ahead of Murray, Jackson one spot ahead of Fox, Ayton two spots ahead of Luka. Life of a Suns fan. Late lottery has been much kinder to the Suns. Booker at 13, Bridges at 10, Johnson at 11.
Something you didn’t mention about Royce White by the rockets is why he didn’t play any games. It’s such a baffling situation. Royce refuses to play because he was scared to fly. Bro was scared of airplanes. The team even tried to accommodate him with other flight and driving options. He still didn’t want to do that. I think it was some mental health stuff but I’m
Not sure about that
Guerschon Dabusele mentioned!!!! Haven’t heard that name in forever man. Immaculate grid king!
I had to double check I was watch you intro was amazing😭
I was so confused for a 2nd, clicked the video and starting walking with my phone, heard Korzemba and thought I was going crazy lol
Personally would pick Fultz over Zhaire Smith. For draft busts I couldn't care less what the player does for any other team that he played for except for the one that drafted him. Remember the sixers coulda had Lonzo Ball Tatum etc. in that draft which would've fillled HUGE holes for them at the time and now.
76ers had no chance at tatum. boston would not trade down if philly was taking tatum. they could have got lonzo after trading
Okafor and Zaire are bigger bust. KP, Devin Booker, bridges, and SGA were all drafted afterwards
Anthony Brown for Lakers, we loved Zo here
this new intro is fire and i really wished kevin knox turned out with the knicks, he was one of my favorite rookies
IDK why but as soon as I finish watching this video the song *"Everybody is dumb"* immediately came into my mind
The Thunder have an odd predilection for selecting players with unusual development paths to the NBA. TFerg is one notable example, but they also used a first-rounder on Darius Bazley, who skipped college to do a yearlong "internship" with New Balance; they picked Serge Ibaka when he was a relative unknown playing ball in Spain; Josh Giddey was kind of a sight-unseen player coming over from Australia. I think Sam Presti has a desire to show how much more thorough and clever his organization is as draft evaluators, and while some non-traditional approaches have panned out (the Canadian-Australian-Canadian starting backcourt they have this season seems to work just fine), they also occasionally whiff.
For Yabuschele when their highlights is a FREE THROW you know it’s bad
Wanted to see what Pistons pick you went with. So many choices.
Someone gimme an extinguisher because that intro was fire
The thing with Royce White was he was too scared to ride on planes. You have to constantly take planes in the NBA and he didn’t want to do that
not a celtics fan but shocked that james young wasn’t considered one of the worst picks for them
I don't hold it against passing on MPJ, there were serious concerns about his back coming out of Missouri.
I was very high on Kira Lewis! Sucks to see him not succeed!
Jabari Parker has been very solid and shown insane ability at the nba level when not seriously injured. One of the what ifs
For the Utah Jazz, it should be Enes Kanter instead of Dante Exum. He openly admitted after being traded that he hated playing in Utah and that he didn't even bother trying to play to his full potential. The Jazz also instantly became one of the top defensive teams in the league after trading him.
Exum at least put forth effort when he was on the court.
In 2017 I wanted my favorite team the Celtics to draft josh Jackson and I was upset when the picked Jayson Tatum now I understand why I'm not an NBA gm
The Timberwolves also passed on Stephen Curry. Twice! The 5th and 6th picks were Ricky Rubio and Jonny Flynn.
Who’s curry?
Is he any good?
@@spidamitchell8311 hes meh a bit of journeyman I think hes in charlotte now
2:43watch the ref grip evan turners ass😂😂
Great editing
the Bulls WORST PICK really should have been Marquis Teague, dude sucked so bad, we didn’t need a PG, couple picks later was Draymond and we needed a PF to fit Thibs’ style…
You should do worst draft pick currently on teams roster
that intro was fire haha
Correction: Bennett was included in K Love trade, released after one season.
Great Video!
Some (un)honorable mentions:
Kings:
Willie Cauley-Stein (6th in 2015)
Justin Jackson (15th in 2017)
Harry Giles (20th in 2017)
Magic:
Mo Bamba (6th in 2018)
Wizards:
Troy Brown Jr (15th in 2018)
Bulls:
Justin Patton (16th in 2017)
Hornets:
Cody Zeller (4th in 2013)
Cole Aldrich (11th in 2010)
Pistons:
Stanley Johnson (8th in 2015)
Warriors:
Ekpe Udoh (6th in 2010)
Grizzlies:
Xavier Henry (12th in 2010)
I thought derick Williams’s would be a star
Troy is solid but solid list
Bulls didn’t draft Patton he went to Minnesota
@@jakeyrunescape9219 Patton was drafted by Chicago then traded to Minnesota on draft night
@@DetroitSportsFanSince2002 how does he meet the criteria then?
For OKC I first thougt about Mitch McGary, but Ferguson is a solid pick I guess.
Intro went crazy bro
As a Pistons fan, I was actually offended that you didn't give them more credit for being absolutely horrible at drafting! They belong in the same breath as Charlotte, Phila, and Phoenix. Killian was the worst, but Sekou was the only other one name dropped.
They had:
'19 Sekou( one highlight then out the league)
'17 Luke Kennard over Donovan
'16 Henry Ellenson (WHO?!!)
'15 Stanley Johnson 8th overall over Devin Booker who wanted to play for the Pistons
'13 KCP (meh)
'12 Andre Drummond (decent for them)
'11 Brandon Knight (only known for being dunked on by DeAndre Jordan)
'10 Greg Monroe
The years I didn't list there, they didn't have a first-round pick. Bottom tier organization when it comes to drafting.
You have to include the fact that the reason Royce white didn’t play was because of mental health issues.
To a degree but Royce also milked the crap out of his disability.
Would of picked culver for minnesota just because they traded up while it was for garland picking culver was crazy even on draft night it was confusing
joshua primo of the spurs only didnt go right because of the players behavior. still think spurs assessed him the right way and has the potential to have a bright future.
Yeah the Thon Maker pick made sense at fine based on how Giannis worked out, but hindsight especially knowing Sabonis went the very next pick…yikes
matt when r u gonna give mavs the respect they deserve in the justballin podcast
Intro went so crazy
Mudiay was absolutely electric in one of the 2k games
I honestly think that Hezonja would succeed if given a 2nd chance in the NBA (also he would want that 2nd chance) He has put up some great numbers in the EuroLeague. He is the type of player that's game has jumped leaps and bounds throughout his journey and I feel he just didn't get a fair shake in the NBA at such a young age. I also think he's never gonna attempt to head back to the NBA though.
as a memphis fan still mad we took ziare, idk why we took him as a top 10 pick
It was so dumb of Memphis to trade JV and Murphy, two best players in the package
Both teams that took zhaire number 10
And both players haven’t panned out!
@@hyabberhane if it wasn't for Steven Adams injury, the trade would've been great for Adams alone. Was the best fit for the Memphis team and had two of the franchises most successful seasons with him as the C.
@@hyabberhanethe JV part needed to happen. Des and Jaren and even Ja don't take leaps without subbing JV for Adams. They needed those touches more
I know this video is a month old, but Dante Exum is reviving his career in Dallas
Damn should’ve literally waited 10 seconds you say pretty much the same thing 😂
Ngl i kinda liked the idea of terrance ferguson as like a just high flying role player
I’m surprised you didn’t say anything about how the 6ers almost unalived Zaire smith after he ate some peanuts which he was allergic too and almost ended his lyfe
Fultz trade had nothing to do with Maxey. It was for Jonathan Simmons and 2 second rounders.
As a Sixers fan, the Bridges-Smith trade still pisses me off to this day.
Fire intro
Suprised that there was no mention of Romeo Langford for the Celtics and Stanley Johnson for the Pistons.
He did mention Romeo Langford
24:21 best pacers pic
it amazes me when so called "analysts" critique a draft pick after the fact, i can do the same thing you know. honestly, did anyone have kawhi or klay ranked higher as a prospect than williams back in 2011? was SGA seen as a better prospect than knox back in 2018?
I really though Knox was going to be good like 17-19ppg 😂
Surely Ntilikina was worse than Knox for New York. Knox could at least shoot threes, Ntilikina couldn’t do much of anything besides the occasional defensive highlight.
Great video but....Kyrie a future hall of famer??? Idk about that bro. Keep up the great content. Thanks!
As a Sixers fan the zaire smith trade NEVER made sense. Why did we give up bridges (a Philly kid) for zaire…
I hate that lonzo made this list because of injuries... leaf to Indiana is a direct result of lonzo's talent
Fire 🔥 intro!!
Bennett was part of the Love deal
intro goes hard af
Markell not a bust averaging 13 points on a bad arm is impressive last season even tho he’s was this season he’s barely getting minutes and he’s hirt
I would have said Jonny Flynn for the TWolves
Totally forgot about tj leaf
The lonzo disrespect is crazy
Great intro
The rockets pick I'm pre sure was afraid of planes and flying and had bad anxiety or sum
Just hit 'play' on this. If you don't have Doke Azebuike as my Jazz' worst pick I'll be surprised. We could have paired Mitchell with Bane which would have actually opened the door for us.
EDIT: Exum was because Smart refused to work out for Jazz = his agent said DO NOT TAKE HIM to Jazz FO so I disagree on your selection.
You should put the names of the players on the video when you go into the next person you are talking about
Great but would’ve went pat Williams
You did Royce white dirty. He was going through loads of mental health issues when he was drafted and had a lot of fears about flying and shit, I think if I remember correctly the rockets made him some big promises then did him dirty. But this was a pretty big story, and to just talk about him as a bust without mentioning what contributed to that is shitty
Lonzo Ball was definitely not a bust he was incredible
Primo pick for my spurs will never make sense, especially with Sengun right there
Sengun would help the spurs like crazy now
Haliburton > Vassel
Sengun > Primo
Jalen Williams > Sochan
New GM is so bad at drafting!
@@theHobbyBoyDamn,finally people who talk some sense.
Some Spurs fans were so eager to defend Brian, even Spurs content creator such as Clan…
You know,I am not too mad about Devin, since he’s still a solid pick,no where close to Hali after this season, but still.
However no way the pick of Primo is even excusable,he was a projected late lottery ~ second round, and I don’t care there’s
some rumors about how “Teams” want to pick him at late lottery,he was never that good.
Like, even if they claimed “There’s no way Brian would know he’s a pervert “,he still didn’t show any sign of being worth a
lottery pick, especially in a deep year like 2021 smh… In fact,he’s still playing, key world “G’League”,he’s not even NBA level
in his third year.
Lastly,I am on the same boat as you,I wanted J-Dub before the draft, and people like Clan defended Jeremy and said he will
be a better player, but it doesn’t age well. Jeremy isn’t even that good of a defender,a new D-LeBron defensively rating showed he’s in the negatives, while Victor is on top…
@@Leo-nc3yx yes. Jeremey is younger, and hindsight is 2020 with dev and hali. The primo pick will always haunt me as a fan
oh man I forgot about Jerome Robinson because Shai was such a good pick...yikes
Elite intro
Collin’s is pretty decent now
Stopppppppp Shabaz Napier is one of the goats , I loved him lol
Love the intro let’s go!!!
No one said Exum was a sharpshooter bro
Yup the Shabazz Napier pick by the Heat 😅
It’s gone be hard to pick a Piston to many failures
Ugh Joshua Primo set the spurs rebuild back a entire year…. But hey they ended up with Wemby so I guess it worked out
primo is not the worst pick the spurs had since 2010. primo at the very least showed signs of what they saw in him picking him in the lottery in 2021. the spurs picked nikola milutinov in the first round of 2015, a guy who would never even step foot in the NBA. sure they were still title contenders having won the year prior and having an upset loss to lob city that same year, but it was a FRP that did nothing at all, would’ve been better off trading. players picked after went on to be pretty valuable players (nance, looney, osman, harrell, josh richardson, pan connaughton, etc etc)
“hit on derrick favors at the #3 pick…” wat? Favors played less than one season for brooklyn and has averaged 10 a game for his career. He went ahead of Demarcus Cousins. That was a pretty bad pick.
W intro and 5:19, the reaction is just sad
shoutout a funky diabetic in the intro
Troydans not gonna be happy about lonzo
i love Matthew Geist
I wouldn’t be happy with Derrick Favors at 3rd overall
Sick intro
For the Thunder, wasn’t a good player, and it gets worse that almost every pick after him in the first round was a good player
