i understand that its a little bit soon, but look for a Used but all parts changed or repaired recently.. Kabota excavator (Digging/Grading/Drilling/Lifting) with a bucket, Bucket Teeth, Thumb, headlights, and a AC/Heater cabin and all parts inside the cabin working.. excavator Tracks, good is.. since its your property.. you'd ab able to pave the road wider and use dirt and shell rock from the property onto the driveway... no more potholes. it will be easy to drive in.. and the time lost.. it will be well worth the investment. you can and use the excavator to lift beams with 3 ton pulling straps attached onto the the bucket hole....so you can reaching areas of the roof. Suggestion: use sage leave bundle or peppermint dry leaves bundle into a fire.. no more flies and mosquitos...or like the Asians do.. bring a Tiger mosquito coil.. burn it.. and keep it near where you're working.. sure bug spray is available.. but these are the alternatives.
Nice area for me I'd rather have all that as the house and build the roof off a little further some cool tree columns maybe put some cinder blocks or stone and fill it in with dirt and make a nice patio where part of its covered and part of its not covered and probably have some kind of railing around it but I'm sure it looks nice however
Wow amazing camera work! Me and my dogs moved to the woods to make a logcabin on yourtube. We are 1 week in but your videos are like Spielberg in comparison ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks if ya ever need Camara tips I can help a bit but I am learning as I go the key is progression and keeping clips short and different angles it's all about telling a story in as few clips possible so picking key clips is a good start
@@Hboysoutdoors I mostly do long 1 shots that take my a couple tries. It's basically me talking about a topic and working on the build. I'm not sure how to do it differently probably plan a bunch of short shots like your saying
The the sad truth is ppl now have very short attention spans and will likely click away if something drags on. But if your talking or explaining stuff as you work they tend to stay more engaged
@@Hboysoutdoors just a suggestion. I figured you alrdy have batteries from the drills. A tool’s only kind of situation. Anyways, amazing to follow along you guys are inspiring! Thanks for sharing, can’t wait for more

always get a little fire ( doing some smoke ) near your workplace and you will get less mosquito , fly ! N.B. D.E.E.T. in bug spray , cream are carcinogenic
100% agree and because the floor is open underneath we will go under and nail as much as we can where sheer load would be present. Post frame builds are great because there is not a whole lot of sheer points in the build. If you watch a lot of post frame guys on TH-cam they explain it better than I can but it is much different than stick frame but I do agree in over building even if sheer load is not there nails are always a better way to go for longevity and strength
@@Hboysoutdoors thanks for the reply! I've never done post frame, just stick framing so was just curious, build is looking great can't wait to see more videos
@@Brandon-lv7ec thanks for watching I'm sure we will make some mistakes and learn from them on our next build that will becoming after this one but that's life preparation and research go along way but we can make mistakes that's the beauty of life I guess is no one is perfect ! All we can do is learn from our experiences cheers brother thanks for tuning in
Not criticism, but your trailer looks nothing like the video. Where's the platform with the finished floor? I thought this was going to be a framing video. No big deal, just curious. I think the way you're putting in those support posts is interesting. Subscribed to see more. Cool place.
We had way to much footage to have it all in one EP the next EP is coming right behind it with all the timber work and floor sheeting that ks for watching
Watching from beautiful British Columbia 🇨🇦.
Looking good ! I wouldn’t want to leave
It can be heaven or hell it depends on the person hah
@@Hboysoutdoors yes this is very true , no place to order a pizza or a cold drink lol. You Deff give up creature comforts.

you guys need a bug zapper my lord.looking forward to more video. new subscriber new hampshire boy here.
And do what? Run a generator non stop? Solar would need a huge power bank because bug zappers are near ineffective during the day.

Battery powered nail guns!!! And all the shear strength you’d imagine
That would be nice for sure but we are not all made of money that will definitely be another upgrade for us forsure

If you use some wood leftover to smoke it , do you think it’ll help to scare the flies ? Surrounding view is amazing.
Put a skillsaw blade onto your weedeater so you can cut all size of weeds.😊
Judging from your video, I’m assuming you are using 2 x 10 floor joints.
Well, I am an arborist. Funny as hell. Meow.
Looks like a good time to me!!! You guys have a background in construction?! Keep givin'er!

You need a small smokie fire to keep the flies away.

Those logs aren't burned!

…..where’d you get the lumber/log hauling trailer?…….now I know after watching one more minute…..lol
House framer here, why screws vs a coreless framing nailer? Nails have better shear ratings and screws are more for clamping
it looks like a carried load construction shear strength not needed

훌륭한 집을 지으시는데 벌레 때문에 사람이 살 수 있을까 걱정이네요
