Marc has always been one of my favorite sax players. This version of the Yellow Jackets were a huge influence for me, and later when Bob Joined. They've always been phenomenal .
Goose bumps, great clip! Arguably, there best LP! Too me there early recordings were there best and still hold up to this day. Great chemistry and the fun shines through! The first 7 LP's then add 8 & 9!

A single saxophonist that I really like I'm looking for an album and I didn't find, this saxophonist had to have too many albums of his own I'm sorry I didn't find
Bob Mintzer didn't come on board with the Yellowjackets until 1990 to play on their Greenhouse recording where he was credited as a guest artist which led to him joining them full time and has been in the band since for 30 years now
The original lineup ft Russel Ferrante/Jimmy Haslip/Ricky Lawson as Robben Ford's backing band on his solo album "Inside Story"..the Jackets' eponymous debut album & sequel Mirage e Trois ft. Robben as guest artist for contractual reasons. Then Marc joined in 1985-the classicfusion trilogy of "Four Corners", "Politics" & "The Spin" are my fave Jackets albums..Mintzer replaced Russo in 70's & direction turned more toward bebop sound.
No one like Marc...he helped define the YellowJacket sound...
so right !
He is the best! Best for individual and amazing sound of Yellow Jackets
More than 30 years had passed and still convinced......Marc Russo and Yellow Jackets music from a different dimension !!!!
Définitivement un super groupe !
J'adore le jeu de Marc et celui de Jimmy !
Ils me touchent à l'âme...
RIP Ricky Lawson. You sat on the throne those first years, driving the Yellowjacket groove, and what a groove it was.
This is Will Kennedy on drums... Ricky left the band years before this
1987 - 1989 was epic!! (Four Corners, Politics, and The Spin) Lover their later stuff too, but these three were awesome for me.
my sentiments exactly..the 3 best albums for me
Live wires, one of my favourite live albums probably ever
You are so right
I wish Marc still made music like this.😢

The best formation ever
Greatest jazz quartet ever.
Wow all this 80's Yellowjackets showing up! Awesome. Marc's always perfect solo delivery
Saw them the year before. This was definitely there prime years!
Mark Russo is phenomenal
Shades and Four Corners are my favorite CD
He certainly was... however, this was on "Politics"
Absolutely beautiful omg!!!!
Wonderful music.
Excellent !
Outstanding.
Thank you so much for sharing. This is the Yellowjackets. The Politics album is hard to find streaming. Some of their best work.
Love this.
Dangerously great!
Лучшие))Марк Руссо супер музыкант!!!!
Присоединяюсь! Но Минцер равен.
Совершенно другой менталитет и энергетика. Однако возьму на себя смелость утвердить, что Минцер более близок к общей концепции YJ.
Extraordinário grupo!

Marc Russo, now playing with doobie brothers and Tommy Igoe.
look different when young yah?
Yes, many of us humans are like that.🙃
Ahhh, No Bob Mintzer? I thought Bob was with The Yellow Jackets since the outset!

@@WarhawkBeyond2040 Bob did a solo CD on DMP Label with YJ and it’s a fantastic piece of work.
@@JetEarlewood That's right Bob did release a solo album with the Yellowjackets called 'One Music', it's a fantastic collection of songs
