    There was the case of a "Prankster" at a shopping mall in Virginia harassing a shopper. The shopper told the prankster to leave him alone. Either way, we didn't use it much since it was very finicky and didn't perform well. Not to mention I didn't know many websites other than cool math games or the apps that came with windows itself. And no matter how bad the actions of your kids are... if you raise your voice it can be considered problematic and fall into child abuse.
      Basically the system in places like here wants to have hands off parenting and wants to create kids that feel like they can act out without any consequences. It's very sad and scary at the same time.

One time my manager was able to confiscate one of their skateboards when they came in (cause at this point they are trespassing and this is their only quick escape), and this kid threw a legit tantrum and hopped over her desk to grab it back from her. Given how time travel would realistically work, everyone who has ever potentially went back in time to prevent something, has done it already, but not in their original timeline. Either that, or the moment someone does go back in time and do that, our entire timeline gets annihilated for the new one to replace it. (Which causes us as we know ourselves to cease to exist. And our other selves will either be completely different from who we are here, or never be born at all). We're in the best timeline possible, as disappointing and horrific as it is. One of the difficult things about these situations is that I see a lot of comments saying there should be an age limit before students could get a phone or have social media, I pretty much agree. But I have a little sister, far younger than me, she's in middle school right now, my mom won't allow her to have a cellphone until high school. But it's becoming more and more difficult to maintain that, because it seems like the school systems themselves are encouraging students getting phones at a young age. For example, she couldn't enter the middle school ASB unless she had a cellphone. She couldn't go on field trips unless she has access to a cellphone. It's really stupid, I hope we as a society will slowly come to realize the consequences, and make smarter more careful decisions

He came up to us and started asking weird ass questions and sticking a microphone in our faces. Mexican kid with a broccoli haircut. He thought he was clowning us so hard, so I snatched his chain off his neck and started walking away. Dude went from such an arrogant troll to threatening to call his parents and started asking for help from the people around us. He literally ran over to the basketball courts and screamed that he needed help, and I mean screamed like a child. Anyway we kept his chain and I'm sure he had to explain to his parents what happened and he probably got in trouble and regretted ever doing what he did. The chain is now a ring lol.

    The most difficult part about monitoring my kid’s internet usage is that as soon as she’s out of my sight it’s a friend’s phone or a friend’s TV/computer. All you can really do is explain calmly and rationally explain what isn’t good for them and why, and even if they don’t understand now, they’ll have the knowledge for later. If you make your kid’s life miserable over what catches their interest they will likely double down. Where is this kid’s parents? Clearly absent, whether it’s work, drugs or booze.

It’s embarrassing and you obviously can’t just “fight” them because they’re just kids, but it’s more than just super annoying because they could’ve literally made me fall by grabbing my legs. I almost lost my balance at one point and if I fell face first and could’ve broken my nose. Finally I kinda just snapped and grabbed one of the kid’s arms and looked at them in the face with a dead stare and said *”Stop.”* and the kid just kinda looked at me like “👁👄👁” and him and the rest of them all left.

      Absolutely. I know Charlie says that’s an easy thing to point the finger at, but I’ve seen so many real world examples in my life for it to not be the case in a huge number of situations. Parents who firmly believe their child can do no wrong. Hell, when I was a kid, everything I did was wrong.

    @onechippyboi 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +665

    In my town if you do this I know exactly how this goes down: person you harrassed will yell out, "get that kid, he just put his hand in my food!" And then you'll have multiple full grown men chasing, grabbing and restraining them, and then youre gonna get lectured and grilled while they wait for the cops. I dont know where that was streamed but nobody was interested in helping that woman.
    Side note, there needs to be laws that impose much harsher punishments if someone breaks the law intentionally for the sake of entertainment. Any fine or sentence should be doubled. My opinion is that the people who make this content are profiting from it, and committing crime for profit is generally much worse. For example, vandalism is common but usually the perpetrator has nothing to gain from it, but filming yourself vandalizing something and making money from the content... I would want that person to face much harsher consequences if I was the victim of their vandalism.
    Edit: I was very sauced up when writing this comment and don't necessarily agree with my stances on legal changes. I don't believe any legal change is necessary, instead I would stress that cultural attitudes change where people are not afraid of suffering grievous legal repercussions for correcting this sort of behavior. If a kid wants to be a punk, someone else should be able to rough them up and not suffer assault charges or face repercussions for doing the "parenting" that the kids were not afforded. In translation: talk shit, get hit.
    Sorry for any confusion or disagreements.

    6:15 - this raises a really worrying revelation, how peer influence is more impactful to a childs development than parental. parents are blamed always in situations such as this, but it is proven otherwise. and its so scary to think that you could raise your kid perfectly right yet they will still end up like this. i dont think i could raise a child knowing this, especially in this age of the internet

      100% agreed. Everyone always blames the parents, and while that's often a part of what led to the kids doing stupid crap, influences (friends, school, internet) play a FAR bigger role. Granted, it's oftentimes a combination of influence AND poor/mid parenting. A lot of the time, even the best parenting in the world can't save someone going down a slippery slope. Kid could be respectful at home and at school and show no signs of anything abnormal, and be allowed to go out with friends in the evening, and you'd have no clue he's involved in stupid crap when there's no supervision. Is that the parents' fault? Absolutely not.

      it's nothing new though, like i did some door dashing as a kid, went cow tipping and trespassed a few times in my teens, ditched class to go to the mall, wasn't my parents that taught me that
      the difference is these "teen rebel" moments were real bonding moments with a friend group, something bad happens to a single person, the whole group learns and grows up
      this, the kid is alone, fake internet friends, surrounded by permanent yes men with monetary motives, he's never gonna learn

    • @thirteenthday_
      @thirteenthday_ 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      @@MirinkaiserVODsAgreed overall but I think all kids do stupid things but the degree and frequency depends on parenting. Like skipping class here and there vs skipping school every day.

    The fundamental reason that a lot of garbage content is popular is because the algorithms reward ragebaiting and harassment. That gets a ton of engagement very quickly. People stick around to watch the entirety of the video and are also compelled to comment satisfying many apps metrics including TH-cam. This shit would die overnight if platforms demonetized you for these types of videos.
