ksh 12000 for this spartan room is too much; even good hotels on beach charge 2000 for half board means room; breakfast and full dinner. more than 100 vegetarian restaurants in mombasa. JAMBO in

They charged for 2 nights. Even I was unsure but it was close to the beach so I decided to stay there
Priya, Muzungu means tourist /foreigner. Be careful, they will want to charge you Muzungu price. That's high price because you are a tourist.
Mzungu means a white person, but to some Kenyans, everyone with brown/white/extremely light skin complexion is one.. There are other toursists/foreigners that do not have white/brown complexion and they are never reffered to as "Mzungu". But yes, they target foreign people to over charge them.

@@PriyaSharma_ Good to know you have plans to visit ethiopia. I am from Ethiopia, although I live in Europe. The best cities and places to vist are: the capital Addis, Awasa and Harar. All these cities are safe. The food and the spices are very similar to the indian. The capital addis is multicultural and internation city, as it is one of the four diplomatic cities in the world.
