    What they want is a low latency proprietary camera in a typical fpv cam format like the the DJI Ocusync air camera or the connex prosight then maintain and extra hdmi input for recording cameras.

    Thank You for your videos on Herelink system, I was very much impressed with the 20 km working range. I am building a long range quad and looking for a long range video system, and after considering what was on offer from DJI, I settled on the Herelink because of the different choices available from other manufacturers. In a rush to get my hands on one I purchased the last one from 3DXR as per your recommendation, and paid $1300 AUD or so including postage.Then I was contacted by DHL to inform me I have to pay import duty and GST, it cost me another $280 AUD for duty and GST. To make things worse now the Australian distributor tells me he has two in stock for sale for $800AUD. I have paid double for this system I hope it lives up to is claim and at least do 10 Km range for my trouble.You have mention in your video that you are using it on your aircraft, have you had an opportunity to test the range?Also can you please include the weight of the items you review, because weight is very important when your building a quad. The Herelink air system weighs 90 grams including both the antennas. I have to shave weight to keep my aim of getting 60 min flying time.Also can you all recommend me a 3 axis gimbal to work with this Herelink System? Bearing in mind the gimbal should be light as possible and should be compactible with the Herelink System.Oh will be purchasing the Pixhawak 2.1 from the Australian dealer today, and willing following your advice and will get the Monch products to go with it.Thank to allGanesh.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, now we can operate an RC vehicle with objects between you and the vehicle. For example, flying a multi-rotor on the other side of a building or a hill not having direct line-of-sight, and still be able to control the vehicle? Unlike some products which in order to have control you need line-of-sight for it to operate. Is this correct? I want one I just don't know if I need one. :P

    Nice video. Here's a question; will this eventually support trigger over hdmi via the Solex app? This is probably a question for Kelly Schrock, and each camera would effectively have to have "profiles", but I'd really like to control parameters (iso, shutter, aperture) and at the very least trigger over hdmi.

    Do you know if the GoPro Session or Polaroid Cube could possibly work for live streaming? I didn't see them included in your list. I'm assuming none of the Runcam cameras would work.

    • @MadRC
      @MadRC  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not been able to see a single run cam with HDMI and I have looked through all of them, there is no HDMI out on the Sessions either, basically it’s only that list. As for 3rd party ones I’m not sure any of them will work for HDMI love feed, some have playback but no love feed and many are just using the micro HDMI as a connector for analog video

    How can i control any servo drives or gimbals or camera controllers with herelink?
    There are few switches on the ground station.

    • @MadRC
      @MadRC  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would feed them from Pixhawk or the Cube. The output is Sbus so you would need to use one of the Aux channels.

    • @user-cz2nw6iw3v
      @user-cz2nw6iw3v 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      But how can I control the channels?
      for example
      I would need a three-step switch to focus and trigger a camera.
      In a standard remote control, this has so far been done with a lever.
      Is there a touchscreen solution for Herelink?

    As per my comments on your range test video, I have tested the Herelink with two cameras GoPro7 Black and Xiaomi Yi 1080P. The GoPro7 Black worked but the latency is unacceptable, of course the Xiaomi Yi is not supported by Herelink it did not work. But one thing I have noticed with both the cameras they both support live feed. The GoPro7 Black live feed has very bad latency compared to Xiaomi Yi 1080P, I wish the upcoming firmware upgrade will support Xiaomi Yi 1080P. Please pass on the message to who ever is developing the new firmware update. Also I have noticed in other videos there is support for a 3 axis gimbal controller. Can you please make a video on how to set up a 3 axis gimbal for the Herelink system? Once again thank you very much for your videos.

    Hey Mad RC, lol me again. Sorry for pestering about all these questions but I have a feeling you're probably one of the most qualified people in the world right now that could answer them.
    Do you know if it's possible to use an HD 1080 webcam to live stream instead of an action camera? Or perhaps a camera with less height than a GoPro. I literally only have 38mm of wiggle room (height-wise) to slide a camera into this slot on my drone.. I don't think a GoPro is going to fit T_T

    • @andrewjamez
      @andrewjamez 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      web cams are IP protocol, you would need an ip to HDMI converter which are bulky and may or may not work...also it would add more latency which is the enemy

    • @MadRC
      @MadRC  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea as stated webcam has not got hdmi. At this stage GoPro os really where it’s at, there are some smaller Fpv cameras with a HDMI but again these have not been tested.

      @@MadRC Yeah, I found a camera that might have worked. It was the JooVoo X which could output live HDMI video and it was the perfect size like about the same size as the Mobius camera but appears to be out of production... I'm surprised how few cameras that are out there below $200 that have an output HDMI mini. It has me a little salty today. Going to swing by Best Buy and ask Geek Squad if they know of any cameras other than GoPro. Like I said earlier, the GoPro is too tall for my application.

      it relocates the sensor/lens of a Hero5 via a ribbon cable. Ridiculously expensive, but I still want one. Not sure if the ribbon cable would get in the way of a gimbal.
