Which standing stones do you recommend for the sniper build
Josh Petkotrovic obviously the Atronach stone because what build of his doesn't use it

Michelle Mills A little word I picked up from Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw. Just means it's complete shit. Also, the Punisher is a comic book. It's basically about an ex-soldier whose family is killed by the mob. So he decides to wage a war against all criminals. There's alot of movies based on it, as well as a Netflix series which you should definitely check out.

I love pumping 9-10 luck and then running the casinos, getting implants with my caps and using perks to lvl my intelligence and getting “Lucky” the revolver. It’s a build almost everyone has thought about and I call it “The Lucksmith” it’s a wild Wild West gunslinger build and its pretty fun!
With the better booze mod Scotch increases your LCK by 6, at the cost of 6 INT

@@jerrad123able put your bonus Special points into LUCK, 4 or 5 works, if you only use 4 put the other point into any stat you want(I reccomend int) grab built to destroy and small frame, now you need to make your way to the strip, once there clear all the casinos out netting you 15-20k caps, instantly go to the new Vegas medical clinic and get the intelligence implant bumping it to a respectable 7, with that go back and complete ring a ding ding, grab educated at lvl 4 for the extra 2 skill points per level, and dump it all into lockpicking until that hits 75, afterwards dump the rest into guns, once you have obtained this try to also get the finesse perk. Once you have 75 lockpicking head to prim and grab "Lucky" the unique revolver located in the bison steve hotel. Lucky has an increased crit damage and crit chance, with 9 luck and finesse you should be hitting massive amounts of crits and dealing solid damage for a revolver. Try to get clothes that increase luck by 1, after that you should have a fair few caps to work with and a nice weapon, so enjoy yourself. As they say, fortune favors the bold.

The first time I played new vegas, I was playing fallout 3, like 2 hours earlier, and was used to fighting fallout 3 deathclaws. When the new vegas deathclaws rushed me at like 3x speed, and killed me in one hit, I was a little bit shocked.

@@REALPEDROGAMEPLAYS lmao so true, played Skyrim before a fallout game and the only classes i ever end up doing are stealth sniper/stealth archer... most times ill start planning to go a different route, melee/mage/explosives etc... but i just always end up picking up a sniper/daedric bow and stealthing my way through everything
Did that first my few playthroughs, until I discovered going bare knuckle as a kajhiit with pugilist gloves was equivalent to using unrefined dragonbone weapons.
I remember making a 0 intelligence all strength endurance and agility melee build. Add a super sledge and suddenly new vegas turns into Dynasty Warriors.
I put my PER and AGL low so I could boost a balanced mix of STR, END, CHR and INT. Melee is always my go to way to do combat

Yeah it's good it's the reason F4 has so many complaints that it's not "RPG" enough you can do a ton of stuff differently depending on how you handle things. Lots of factions with different ways to handle them all. Handle people in many ways. In the video you see the speech play through talking Benny into going back to his room to get him alone because of a perk she had. Other perks or skill would have worked too or well a more proactive choice lol. The robot she used a science skill to hack it or she could have used speech to bluff luck to guess the password (well I have done it on other robots) shot her way through use an alled faction to bypass them use a criminal element to fake your way in or well just be rich enough they leave you alone to name a few

Best part about this is if you’re using the Mysterious Magnum, you don’t need the Hand Loader perk for the .44 semi-wadcutter rounds. Just go find and talk to Jules in North Vegas Square and have your Guns and Survival skills maxed out.

I talked to the kids, have the teacher new material, and healed the sick ppl and that was all I needed to earn the Boomer’s trust.

I like to play as a curious yet cautious drifter using only a sniper rifle, sequoia revolver, NCR ranger armor with helmet. I don’t side with anything I just think the armor looks cool.
Speedywaffles The Honest Hearts dlc has a non faction version of the Ranger Armor, it's called Desert Ranger Combat Armor. Pretty cool, it was used by a Marine that was in China during the war, the helmet itself not only differs from the NCR version in color, same with the armor, but it has Vietnam esque tour locations and service dates on the back. On the front "Forgive Me Mama!" Is written and the eyes are green, like night vision, instead of the NCR variants red. Both suits of armor and helmets lore wise are said to give low light vision, that being the reason the eyes glow, but in the game that's not the case. Perhaps the Courier just couldn't find the button.
@@RoosterFloyd There's riot NCR armour which is better than the regular NCR armour and looks even better. It's in one of the dlcs

Lonesome Road
The lonesome road riot gear is something for you pal
Probably the most fun build for me was the "one life" character I've attempted on multiple occasions. If you approach the game from the aspect that you can't let yourself die, the game takes on a whole new intensity. In short, all of your picks either increase your damage output or reduce damage taken. I tend to get the advanced riot gear from Lonesome Road early, then focus on medium to long distance energy weapon combat, since you can get some beast dps if you play your cards right.
Last time I attempted the run, I was level 31 or 32, had beaten Old World Blues, and was attempting Dead Money when I accidentally shot Dog/God in the head, killing both of us. I don't know if I shall attempt it again in the future.
One day, I WILL beat the game this way.

My first NV play trough I did not know about vats mode and played everything without vats. As I later found out how to use vats I played it again and felt like using an overpowered aim bot.I clearly made it harder than it needed to be

Gogron9 Hey but look at it this way. VATS is mostly a game of chance where as taking the time to aim every shot correctly takes skill.
I personally don't like to use VATS that much. I avoid it whenever possible.
I find it hard to believe you never pressed the L1/LB for your entire playthrough. Unless of course you were on PC

I face it too. It happens at random. I learned that the game engine the game developers used was pretty old and couldn't handle alot of things happening at once. Like do you notice the game tends to crash when you enter cities where there are alot of npcs.

I'm a total.noob lol, I got used to FO4 and its perks and leveling going back to this style I don't understand how to build a character.
TBH I gave up because I'm Lazy like that. But as a side note New Vegas is now available on Xbox Gamepass so I'll probably give it another shot
@@joshuabillings5108 the game really isn't that hard, your first character will always have a terrible build. But if you want a really good build i reccomend going for a critical build. There is an item called Boones beret and it will give you +5 crit chance which is really big. You can get it by completing the quest boone gives you in novac (just play the story normally and you will get there eventually) I also reccomend perks like Finnesse(+5 crit. Chance) and better criticals (+50% crit damage)
I also reccomend putting your charisma down to 1 because it really isn't that useful at all and raise your intelligence to either 10 or 9, intelligence raises the amount of skills points you earn which can benefit you greatly in the long run. Talking about skill points you should also choose the skilled perk that gives you +5 to every skill.
(If you want to glitch when you exit good springs rebuild your character and choose the skilled trait again and it will give you 5 more to everything)

I actually prefer a jack of all trades mercenary playstyle. I dont do much talking, and i mainly use a shotgun, rifle and pistol depending on the engagement. By extention i cant get each and every perk affecting these weapons so im not amazing with each of the, just better the average. This allows me to take out key targets from a distance, infiltrate with a silenced pistol and then bring the hammer down with my shotgun if need be. This also works well in closed spaces where shotguns shine, or against the many mutated animals across new vegas
12:49 guy went out doing push ups, pretty bad ass. I always find explosive builds to be too op and find them a bit boring quite quickly.
Yeah, but that's gonna happen with any really strong late stage build. Annihalating everything loses its charm after a bit

with the grenade melee dude, remember to always have the cinematic kill cam option set to "always" so that each and everytime you get that almost comedic boom
i usually end up playing my sniper stalker and shotgun hybrid. i know i know my stats are every where. but being able to head shot someone with a slug is awesome
I've tried to do this kinda thing before, turning a shotgun into a sniper rifle was actually my main goal of my FIRST playthrough! Nearly had it too! Beat the game too quickly though.
My playstyle is: Screw over everyone, steal everything betray your friends and kill everyone.
I try not to do that, but every time I always resort to that lol

I love using a “Pacifist” build where I use as much speech skill as possible and get as many speech perks as I can to almost entirely avoid combat with several groups of enemies
It’s crazy finding out accidentally that situations where I thought violence was necessary is completely avoidable. Catches my brainwashed mind rotting video game grindset for a loop.
Unarmed/Explosives is hands down the most fun i've had in Fallout. All the different powerfists and unarmed moves make me weep for what could have been in Fallout 4
Can you make more NV builds? Or, at the very least redo some of your previous ones.

Personally, my favorite playstyle is what I affectionately call "The Mythbuster".
Your main goal is to solve all problems through your wits; Science, Repair, and Survival. Your speech stat is pretty terrible, so you have a hard time smooth talking your way to a resolution, but the three aforementioned stats tend to work pretty well. On top of that, you look through every nook and cranny for other presentable solutions.
If all else fails, move on to Plan B: Blow it the Fuck Up.
Your only weapons skill is Explosives. You only use Explosives. Take all relevant Explosives related Perks, such as Demo. Expert, Splash Damage, and Hit the Deck. Remember how you pumped points into Survival? That's right bitches, time for Rad Child. And as for Science and Repair? Well, GRA added in a nifty little perk called Mad Bomber. Mad Bomber allows you to craft homebrewed explosives. Like throwable plasma grenade bouquets. Or Mini Nukes strapped to land mines. Or combustible soda. And at this point, between a Grenade Rifle and a handful of MFC Clusters, you can kill pretty much anything in less than 3 seconds.
This sounds cool, I'm going to try it :D

My favorite play style is "The Sniper" you just take everything out from a distance and if anything gets close you use a stealth boy with recon armor and get away. You use explosives (mines c4 etc) guns and en weapons depending on the enemy but it's based around never being seen just death death death. :)
I played this on first playthrough and it almost feels like cheating. With an early game weapon Ratslayer and normal ammo I can sneak attack crit headshots on 90% of enemies one after the other without them noticing. I'll use Hunting or Sniper rifle with AP ammo for heavily armoured. Hardly ever have to break out the anti material rifle.

One of my favorite playstyles in NV was the "Space Cowboy" playstyle, where I maxed out on Charisma, Intelligence, Speech, Science, melee and energy weapons and later repair and spent my time with the Brotherhood of steel. I always wore the bountyhunter duster, a cowboy hat and a pair of sunglasses.
It was my weird attempt to losely interpret Spike from cowboy Bebop and surprisingly it turned out to be quite fun.
You are overencumbered and can't carry that weight, Space Cowboy.
Melee was actually extremely useful in vegas. especially in the DLCs.
Even in the Base Game it's super good. Just take a short walk NW of Goodsprings Cemetery with a shovel and get Chance's Knife for one of the best early game weapons, then once you get near Jacobstown later in the game you can go get my favorite weapon in probably all of Fallout; Oh Baby.
Melee is the best way to deal with Dead Money DLC.

@@shmoriy with high science, energy weapons, repair and the loading perk associated with high science you just might barely make it.
Or alternatively have high unarmed and endurance and bear(trapfist,)ly make it. Daring any ghost peep to come close and get knocked down and dismembered.

I just love NV, every time I can't really decide how to end it 'cause every faction is so damn cool!!
My favourite playstyle is usually a Sniper/Unarmed build, revolving the Gobi campaing scout rifle and Two step goobye/Ballistic fist, but recentely i adopted a scoundrel's like playstyle using Dinner bell with slug munition for long range and a riot shotgun for close range, and it's really effective and fun to use :-)
That said, this is an Aawesome channel and I love watching all your build, they really helped me hone my builds :-)
I've been experimenting with a high tech build (with high intelligence to go along with the advanced theme), and it is quite enjoyable. Meltdown mixed with guas rifles (or the holorifle) makes for some incredibly satisfying moments (and is particularly helpful in dead money), and to change things up, there's always Gatling lasers, which are great for stopping cazadors. Adding in the high DT of having remnants power armor makes this a very tough character in the late game. It's not easy to get going since energy weapons are hard to find in the early areas, and it's pretty expensive to keep up a good supply of ammo, but it's very fun when everything comes together.

The best playstyle is a mix of all of these, long range snipe for when youre outside, close quarters combat with a shotgun when youre inside sneaking, and well boom for harder or grouped up targets to deal massive damage

Only recently started playing, doing FM's "Great Khans Exile" build (overall goal is to save them, naturally). Love using the Ratslayer and broad machete (Ratslayer is so insanely broken, such a killing machine).
Over the years, a lot of my play-styles have adapted around the mods I use.
Just as an example, the More Perks mod adds a few perks relating to chem use (Similiar to the 'Chemist' vanilla perk), and the Xtra Special mod allows the duration of chems to increase as you raise your Medicine skill. I also use the Chems, Alcohol and Meds (CAMs) mod which adds a whole host of new chems as well as new ways to take chems that'll either increase their potency or duration, depending on the method. It also adds weight to most Chems which helps balance things significantly.
The resulting 'druggie class' I sometimes play while using these mods is a lot of fun and the range of chems allows it to work with any choice of weapons, or even as a sort of 'tactician' option, by which I mean you can use chems that will specifically aid you in your current situation. If you're taking on enemies from afar you can increase your crit chance/crit damage, but if you're indoors you can use drugs like Alcohol, Psycho and Buffout along with a melee weapon instead.
I tend to use high strength and the carry weight increasing perks specifically to go the tactician route, so that I can carry as many chems as possible given the addition of weight I mentioned earlier.
8:00 The "diplomatic gunslinger/'competent combatant' is my favorite role, similar to the charming brainiac build. One thing to note is that New Vegas has almost no Charisma checks in the game; it is all based on Speech, Barter, and Reputation. If anyone wants to try out a diplomatic build with high skill points: do yourself a favor, 1 Charisma. There ain't a Courier out there that doesn't have frontal lobe damage :D

My favorite character I built started out as a smooth-talking gambler, but by the end of the game He had somehow morphed into a devastating shotgun surgeon.
With His trusty riot shotgun and trademark Hazmat Suit, He had become the TOXIC AVENGER!!

I like the energy weapons builds since lasers have such a high crit damage
I'm currently playing a bit of a hybrid Sniper/Explosives build at the moment. I carry one scoped rifle and a ton of explosive weapons with me(and a few other situational weapons for instances between).
I have high Sneak, which lets me lay mines for unawares enemies. I also have high Science and INT, which lets me build all kinds of crazy bombs and such to use on my enemies.

On my first playthrough I went for melee and explosive automatically and had a ton of fun all those years back at release.
I have done a couple of these builds and they were extremely fun!! My newest playthrough (on my channel) is just a random cowboy build 🤣🤣 it is actually extremely fun as well!
my Style of gameplay no matter what is a Sniper with a Shotgun and a Knife. the Sniper itself to take care of long ranged Enemies Preferred Combat style but when things get tight pull out the shotgun and when out of ammo or Low on ammo pull out the Knife.
Please make more new Vegas builds!
Explosive and melee was my survival character and probably my favorite build. I did use the rat slayer in the early game.
I'll be playing this game again soon, so this video came out at a good time.
Dragon wannabe build?
Race: argonian
Gender: male
Backstory: he sees a dragon and wants to be a fucking dragon
Stats: 60% health 40% stamina and 0% magica (use enchanting to get 100% spell cost reduction)
Weapons: incinerate, fire ball, wall of flames, and fire storm (or any other fire spells from mods) also a dragonbone sword with fire damage
Armor: dragonbone (duh) exept for the helmet which will be a circlet of your choice
Factions: your choice
Enchants: spell cost reduction, health, stamina, fortify one handed
Skills: destruction, one handed, heavy armor, enchanting, smithing, and alchemy (optional for making fortify enchanting and smithing potions)
Mods (optional): imperious races, any magic mod, ordinator, the standing stone mod (cant remember the name)

Anonymous person only problem with this is you will have to spend a lot of early levels on enchanting alone in order to have the magika for training destruction.

LoreShelter with heavy armor having some allocation for stamina is useful. Also having a melee attack type is in character for someone embodying dragons, I mean dragons have claws and fangs

I always enjoyed playing assault rifle type Mercs/bounty hunters; there was one time I created a high INT, high Scoence skill character that sold lots of drugs and hired a bunch of goons and role played a Walter White style kingpin.
I’m thinking about installing NV again with a bunch of mods and firing up a similar build with inspiration from your charismatic genius build. Should be a lot of fun.

I've got a build that wasn't on here... the Buff Doctor build (still working on the name XD) Max our strength, max out intelligence, get endurance as high as possible, and max our melee weapons, science and medicine as soon as possible.
Lichdemon hey I'm playing something similar rn but for 3 rather than nv, any tips or perk choices you'd recommend?
I enjoy my endurance/intelligence and unarmed build. Its quite suited for hardcore/very hard runs if you make a break for hidden valley or gun runners.
I always loved the explosives, unarmed, and melee weapons play style

The second one on this list, my absolute favorite build I’ve ever played: The Hitman. I love how immersive it is... you feel like a futuristic assassin.
I did add a Sniper to the build, but otherwise, it’s the best. The Stealth Suit adds so much fun to the game.
You guys should revitalize those Builds like you did with Skyrim
Assassin builds are a lot of fun whether you're into using just a sniper rifle or up close & personal OR a combination of both which is how I like it. My favorite is to use Christine's COS sniper rifle from the 2nd floor of the ruined building by he Yangtze prison in Old World Blues. Killer weapon and silent. Slightly less than the Gobi Campaign sniper rifle & much easier to get. Combine that with Sleepytime and a modded .45 pistol or 12.7 mm silenced pistol and you've enough weapons to take out most bad guys at a distance or up close & person. Add the perks he suggested and game on.
Also, hard to beat Elite Riot Gear (from the Divide) OR Ulysses' duster (also from the Divide) either of which provides +5 crit chance. Add that to Boone's cap & you get +10 crit chance. Personally I prefer the duster since it's only 3 lbs VS the 20+ lbs the riot gear uses. Yeah less DT with the duster but I don't get up close and personal in combat and I carry enough black sausage to heal fast. Plus plenty of stimpacks. The riot gear helmet is nice as I like the low light for creeping and killing at night. Just wish it wasn't tied into specific "time" because it doesn't work inside caves or buildings during the daylight hours.
I like a light warrior build with the warclub as a main weapon. Also a luck focused sniper with the Ratslayer is really fun.
I'm playing an unarmed explosives build right now so I'm glad to see it at the top. I'm roleplaying as a character from a series I just finished reading called Dungeon Crawler Carl.

My favorite build is my New Vegas brawler. Kind of a mix between your top 2 builds as I am a completionist, so I try to max out all skills, but a heavily melee focused (mostly unarmed) build. Most fun I ever had with it was bare knuckle boxing with deathclaws.
Bounty Hunter alcoholic build with cowboy perks and weapons is the best. Can't convince me otherwise

My favorite build you done in new vegas is the ncr ranger. It can sneak and do fine without it. The brush gun and ranger sequia is really fun to use

I HATE the Junk Rounds perk. It's massively expensive and difficult in items needed, and the recipe makes ONE bullet per use. Yes, ONE bullet. That's patently ridiculous. For 1 scrap metal and 5 tin cans, you oughta get a lot more bullets.
There are so many great builds for this game that have their own advantages and disadvantages that ultimately become obsolete once you get high enough level

The true best way to play New Vegas, Is to get 100 points in all Skills!
Because why be great at one play style, When you can be good at all play styles in one play through. With "ultimate edition" version of the game it is possible to max out all of your skills before hitting level 46. (With Intelligence at Lvl 6. And Lvl 7 with implant.) And you don't even need to obtain all the skill magazines and extra-skill-point perks to do so.
Trust me I've done that three times already.
Also, My short list of Top 5 perks would be.
Long haul perk,
Jury rigging,
Fast Travel,
Slayer,
And Living Anatomy.

I'm currently doing a Heavy Gunner playthrough. High Strength, Endurance, and Luck, Built to Destroy and Accurate Shot traits, and just wading towards enemies while wearing heavy armor with fully automatic weaponry, preferably the LMG, .45 SMG, Automatic Rifle, or Mini-gun.
A charisma/ intelligence build is always my go to in fallout for completionist reasons though I wish I could do something else but I just have to be able to hack every terminal, unlock all doors and safes, and have every dialogue option
