That's true, but then Rock would be using you, and my character can't have that! Makes it all the more tragic knowing that Cecilia does actually love you, but the farmer couldn't care any less

Too happy for me. I expected an ending of the MC joining a cult, sacrificing his family, burning down the town, and declaring himself the god of this forsaken world.
This is gonna be a certified "Most Hated Man in Forgotten Valley" classic. 😌

Note at 13:18 - while choosing the positive response during a 9-heart event does “lock” you into engagement (making it so you cannot see any other heart events from the rest of the marriage candidates in that playthrough), you don’t actually have to marry your betrothed. You can still break their heart by proposing to & wedding someone else! If you did this in the original version, your fiancée would show up at your doorstep to chew you out (damaging your friendship of course). I have not tested this, but apparently it causes the family of the betrayed lover to dislike you more as well!
hahaha I love seeing how far people can take a external condition in a game. It almost feels like when people take the joja mart route in stardew valley to the extreme!! anywho great video dude!
I'm glad you found this as interesting as I think it is 😂 I love it when games give you the option to take such an unconventional path--Stardew Valley is a great example! I'm impressed the developers even bothered with a lot of this dialogue, and the non-standard game-overs are always entertaining

I'm really happy about that! I've never played the SNES version, though I'm familiar with it because of the weird localization (if you interact with the stove, it says "Confirm the origin of fire!" instead of "Checking to make sure the stove is off!" like in the original Japanese). I've been wondering if they changed that with the NSO release, I'll likely check it out sometime this week!

Ohhh I for sure didn't expect you to make a video like this after watching ur video about the dark aspects in oot and majoras mask (which I btw LOVED). Your style of narration is sooo soothing and the video is very well structured, as in easy to comprehend so to speak. Thumbnail is also great.
I absolutely feel you regarding the "perfect" save file hahaha. I made sure I maxed out everyones friendshiplevel and basically did everything before THE moment. I actually think most people tried to play that way so the more I'm intrigued by the fact that the devs put those talking cutscenes in where ur so tries to amend the situation at hand. I do like that you get the normal/ "intended" ending regardless, bc I can only imagine how younger people would still find some aspects quite challenging.
Tldr: I loved your take on the playstyle and your narration during it was great! :)

I've been plying this game semi consistently for a couple months irl. So this video is widely interesting to me at this moment in time
Me too! On my regular save file, I'm on chapter 3--I've been playing it pretty exclusively since release but I'm pacing myself. I tend to get obsessed with the things I love though so when I'm not playing I find myself looking up things about the game 😅 I plan to make a couple more videos about it!
