Funny intro! Davinci has a great impression of you. The elf Kraft is a monk. In eastern cultures, monks are more like martial artists. In D&D, monks are like religious martial artists. "The Hero's Sword can only be pulled from the stone by the hero who will drive off the great calamity bent on destroying this world." There's no doubt that Himmel was a hero but it still could mean a great calamity, worse than the Demon King, is yet to come. Someone else also mentioned that perhaps the Sword is waiting for a Hero that will actually need it to succeed, whereas Himmel did not. In that respect, the failure to pull the sword would not be a judgement of Himmel's unworthiness, but a validation of his own ability and strength. Stark suffers from extremely low self-worth. He has pessimistic memories that slowly show a new perspective, adding to them as he remembers them with a new viewpoint. He didn't try to pull the sword in the Village of the Sword because he doesn't see himself as a hero. He does see his brother as a hero, however. Bruixa gets it. This is such an emotionally powerful episode that really shows how much Stark wants to succeed and how valuable praise is for him. This episode also takes you on a roller coaster of emotions. Laugh, cry, laugh, cry, laugh. Then ending was perfect because it was so sad, but they made sure you ended laughing. The Party of Heroes who killed the Demon King are: Himmel the Fake Hero Eisen the Cowardly Warrior Heiter the Corrupt Priest Frieren the Dishonorable Mage
I hadn’t thought about the fact that it could mean there’s still a big threat coming, it totally makes sense. I couldn’t have explained the sword symbolism better, you’re absolutely right. It’s not that Himmel wasn’t worthy, but that he didn’t need it because he was already a hero. I think the second part of this episode was so well done. Like you said, it’s an emotional rollercoaster, and at the same time, it was so necessary. Stark needed to realize the truth to find his worth as a person and a warrior. Thanks a lot for this comment!! ❤❤❤
I 2nd the Re:Zero anime. It was far better than I expected it to be when I watched it earlier this summer. The next season starts in September so it will be common to see fresh reactions to it soon.
