A review of the MASTER GRADE MSZ-006 ZETA GUNDAM VERSION 2.0.

Production notes -
-This was a very experimental review. I've updated a lot of my equipment, so this took extra long to make lol. Right now I'm just trying to emulate how these reviews looked previously. Ya know, get back up to par. The next review (Probably Gundam Alex) should be a bit better produced....
-This is the first review edited in Adobe Premiere. Up until now, it's been capturing footage with a Cannon SL1, a 50mm, then edit still images in a cracked 2012 version of Photoshop, and video in a cracked 2013 version of Sony Vegas. So I decided to buckle down and invest in Adobe Creative Cloud. That's why this took so long to come out lol
-I also recently got a small Polaroid LED light. It's nothing special, but it does wonders on small stuff like model kits. There are a few shots in here that were just over powered by it though, which created a little more shadows than usual.
-I'm thinking about finally including some kind of Top Gear style leader board at the end of these reviews. It might add a bit more importance to the actual numbers and it'd be fun to compare and contrast. But I'm nervous it would give away the reviews of other kits and make people not watch them. Hmmmmm...

the cool thing about the stand is that if you get the 2.0 AEUG mk II, you can combine its base with the zeta's, to make it look like zeta is launching/getting ready to launch, while mk II is waiting to do the same

i just loove your videos! the structure, rating system, music and talkover, i think its pretty much perfect. Plus i like that you mostly focus on UC. keep it up man, i hope there`s great things yet to come : )
I really love the Zeta. This is one of my favorite Gundam. I don't worry on the articulations. It is okay for me.

What do you think of it?
Will you be reviewing the upcoming Zeta Gundam Ver. Ka. when it's released? It seems that they're attempting to stay true to the anime lineart instead of the usual Katoki style look, and they're aiming to improve the transformation and articulation
To be honest, I don't know that the Ver Ka is exactly staying true to the lineart. It's closer than the 2.0, but the side by side pictures make it obvious that there are still a ton of differences.
This kit was so awsome yet so handsome ! Zeta and ZZ gundam i highly recommend
One thing nobody seems to say is wrong with this kit is that the clamps that hold the polycap for the front ankle armor are prone to breakage. I was posing and the front ankle armor came right off. This kit is fragile, my dudes. Definitely deserves the 'Master' label.
So cause it happened to you, it stands to reason its the same for everyone.
i recomend u to pls do the transformation secuence next time, a lot of people look for reviews just to see the transformation, dont skip it!
yeah, cause sometimes the transformation undermines the actual build and becomes a grenade
If only it had some kind of information booklet to tell you the transformation, an instruction manual if you will... Maybe someday such a crazy thing will exist
@@beepbeeplettuce5890 Come on.. isnt that hard, when i wrote that coment i didnt have the kit, now i do, i know isnt like a g1 transformer, like 2 or 3 steps, and that handling isnt the easiest thing but.. at least any part fell off or something..
But dont missunderstand, ur reviews are gr8, showing the inner frame its also something that not all reviewers do, and its important for me. gr8 videos m8

aaannnd you got a new sub . I love the point system , it keeps it nice and short while giving enought information ^^ it also helps to compare kits .
also : you might want to check out the new hguc zeta g.e.p . it has a great look is solid and see4ms to have amazing articulation . I might get the mg zeta plus c1 , it isnt based of this mold but it looks better imo
Thanks! That new HG Zeta looks great. I like how Bandai sorta realized they weren't gonna get an HG to transform without extra parts, so they decided to focus on articulation instead. I bet it'll be able to pull off some great poses.
I have a MG Zeta Plus C1, and it's pretty cool, you'll like it. The articulation isn't as good this 2.0, but the Zeta Plus looks so cool it's not that big a deal lol
wish i saw your channel sooner, great simple reviews. kind of cool looking at these review after i built these right when they first came out. Zeta is my favorite suit of all time. i actually have this and the "white unicorn" Z-3. i think the leg you may have left something loose or cut away too much of something, but then again i built these when they came out maybe reissue or aged kits had something to do with it. that joint on both of mine are super tight. for this kit to stand more stable you need to angle out his thigh to a 45 degree and rock the ankle as far in as possible with the toe pointing outwards.
I want one of these to go along with my SD Zeta!

Honestly I wish they remade a lot of transforming Gundams and took out the transformation gimmick, like a victory that isn’t a plastic Grenade

@@AssaultRider555 The waist disconnects a lot and the articulation isn't great due to the transformation and since Katoki decided to follow the line art for the first time

I was lucky and picked mine up while I was in Japan. But when I'm in the states I use Hobbylink and Amazon. Hobby link is good because it tells you the shipping costs up-front, which is super nice. But honestly, more and more I'm using Amazon. The prices are dropping pretty fast and some kits even have Prime 2 day shipping.
Honestly, every kit I have gotten so far is from amazon, I find it to be the msot simple an easy to use, and their library of kits is very very large and increases everytime a new kit comes out, can also be quite speedy as well, typically I find my kits arrive about 3-6 days early.
i have no issue on ground posing at all. the problem is not on the kit.

I didn't seem to have the same problem that you had when it came to the legs maybe it was due to the sanding process? Though the plastic felt brittle in certain spots
1 question, which kit is more frustrating? MG Zeta Plus' or Zeta 2.0? After watching the MG Zeta Plus video, the kit seems pretty good for its age, and currently with my 2.0 the feet are a kit killer for me.
I'd say it depends if you have the kits aerial or not. On the ground, the Zeta Plus is a bit easier to pose because the feet are sturdier, while the Zeta is a nightmare because of the heels. But in the air, the Zeta 2.0 can get much better poses.
Of course, the Zeta 2.0 is still a better kit imo, it looks better, better/more weapons, more interesting build, and (on paper at least) better articulation. It's just undercut by all those transforming sections.
curious why they omitted the landing gears.
It’s not supposed to have one. The MS is its main mode, not the waverider.
@@kelnhide The old MG had landing gears, the PG had langing gears, This can have langing grars as the sleds are detachable from the shield and wings but the lags are missing.
wewyllenium as the guy said, they went with anime accurate. As far as I know the Zeta in the anime never showed any landing gears, it always landed while in MS form
@@kelnhide yeah, for colors. But I'm talking about optional parts. That display base ain't anime accurate. I was hoping the landing sled parts were there as well since the old ones are not compatible. Bandai bothered with inner frame details but skipped the landing gears. If you want to see anime accurate looks, check out the old 1/144, not the HGUC release. For me, that looks more like the cartoons.

I figured the transformation would've been included in Articulation. Though I also figured you might have done a transformation walk-through but I may have been spoiled by Transformers channels.

Oh, i have experiences with normal model (like tanks and plane) but I never built a Gumpla. I’ve already bought this kit online, is really that difficult?
You'll have no problem coming from a more traditional model background. Everything snaps together well, with no need for glue like on tanks or plane kits. It shouldn't be too difficult for you. The manual does a good job of explaining things as well.
I must have a much older version.
Hey guys my first kits were a hg 1/100 dynames and mg 2.0 zeta and feel like it worn out and had issues with my zeta arms sticking in. What to do with them.
Would it be wise to convert the Zeta 2.0 into a Zeta plus (C1, A1, etc)? Or would it be worth while to just get the MG Zeta plus?

This is an awesome kit, but after the Ver Ka, it just can't compare. Especially if your a fan of the anime accurate design from katoki
i have to argue that transforming this guy takes me about 45 minutes either way lmao, but its kinda hard to ask for a better mg zeta than this
