I definitely don't think that Seungri ruined BIGBANG. Not only did the members publicly call him out for his friendships (on shows before the Burning Sun scandal happened) but they'd been clear that they had warned him to stay away from those people. In my opinion, Seungri ultimately brought very little to the group. Taeyang and Daesung can carry any song vocally like it's the easiest thing in the world, and GD is GD and can do anything. They've always had heaps of scandals because they've always been a target because of their size and power as a group, but Seungri didn't have the power to ruin the group. Losing TOP was a much, much bigger loss.

I definitely don't think that Seungri ruined BIGBANG. Not only did the members publicly call him out for his friendships (on shows before the Burning Sun scandal happened) but they'd been clear that they had warned him to stay away from those people. In my opinion, Seungri ultimately brought very little to the group. Taeyang and Daesung can carry any song vocally like it's the easiest thing in the world, and GD is GD and can do anything. They've always had heaps of scandals because they've always been a target because of their size and power as a group, but Seungri didn't have the power to ruin the group. Losing TOP was a much, much bigger loss.
