    I don't care what people say about the controversial exterior design, I love it! It's like a mini Grand Cherokee inside, and the Trailhawk model (or a model equipped with Active Drive II) is very capable off road! :)

      +Vincent D So true! I like the design too. Good lookin' car for the price.

    We have a 2017 Cherokee Overland. Quite a bit of an upgrade from the limited. Leather and electric seats. Full sun/moonroof and much larger screen with nav that controls just about everything. Including the heated seats and heated steering wheel. My wife loves this car and I like it too. We don’t have the road noise issue - maybe the overland has extra sound deadening. We also have the V6 on the advice of a Chrysler employee in the family.
    All this said and I must confess this is our second 2017 Cherokee. Why? Because the first one was a lemon. It was in the shop the first 4 months more then we had it in our possession. As a result, Jeep bought it back from us and gave us some extra credit to upgrade to the Overland. It was very frustrating but worked out ok for us. Nearly a year later and this second Jeep is working well for us with only a small issue with sunroof rattle.
    Bottom line, my wife loves her Jeep Cherokee so much that my daughter wants one now. BTW I own a 2017 BMW X3 and love it.

      Sorry to hear you had so many problems. I'm glad you were able to get a replacement. Nobody should be stuck with a lemon. And you drive a 2017 X3!!! That's hands down my favorite SUV. It sooooo nice. I'm jealous ✌

    45k miles damn. I don't think I've ever rented a car with more then 10k

    • @100RentalCars
      @100RentalCars  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I sometimes get cars that have been driven hard. I think my worst so far had over 60k on it. It was a Toyota that had Canadian plates on it...so I'm guessing someone put a lot of miles on it.

      100 Rental Cars enterprise gets the older beat up cars after national uses them but still 45k on a 17? That's alot

    How’s the overall reliability and dependability of the vehicle? I’ve heard they’ve had a pretty trouble some reliability I’m thinking of purchasing a new Cherokee, the only thing holding me back is the reliability. Do you think that they have gotten better, and they are good vehicles, and they last a long time?? love the reviews great job!!

    • @100RentalCars
      @100RentalCars  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Niko. In my experience, Jeeps are decently reliable. My family had an early 2000s model and it lasted over 10 years without any major problems. If you like the look and the feel of the Latitude, then I think you should go for it. But if you're on the fence, or if reliability is your highest priority, then I'd consider a Honda or Toyota instead. Generally those score better when it comes to reliability. Hope this helps. And thanks for the kind words about my video!

      @@earthfreak100 everything cool now sense Chrysler address the oil consumption issue me personally I would've opt for the V6 if it was in my budget

    I spent about 4 days with a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk in April, my boss gave it to me to use. I was detailing it and she didn’t want it back when I was done, no joke. So what does that say? She said it looked great when she finally let me return it. I agree with the road noise, it’s extremely loud. I found the transmission very clunky and unresponsive to input, but I did like it. I would buy one but like you said I would need the V6. Seems like that one had a few miles on it too!

    • @100RentalCars
      @100RentalCars  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      She didn't want it back? HA! That does say a lot. To me, the Cherokee feels like they took a Grand Cherokee, which is a GREAT vehicle, and ripped out all the good stuff. Do you know what I mean? Like it could be a really good vehicle, if it didn't have so many cheap parts.

    • @616civicmt8
      @616civicmt8 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do agree, however it does have potential. My old boss was extremely.... how should I put it. I guess I"ll just say stupid haha. From what I see she traded it on an old Land Rover, good luck with that one!

    Idk what it is but the electronic emergency brake just bothers me. I just worry how well it works. I like my pull up emergency brake. Maybe it's the clicking sound mentally tells me it's set. Idk lol I'm sure the electric one works fine but I like my clicky one lol

    • @100RentalCars
      @100RentalCars  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. Then again, I have read that many of the "manual" emergency brake are just levers we pull that tell the on board computer to activate the brake. Regardless I feel the same way as you do. Then again, I have yet to have a car roll away while it's parked...

    Nice overview. What a cheap interior. The Limited is much nicer. BTW the 4x4 version you are driving gets 21city/28hwy (30 on the FWD-only version). I don't think there is an AWD SUV out there getting 30mpg highway.

      The latitude with leather interior and power roof is ten times nicer.

    I like your reviews but I do have a suggestion to save yourself the trouble of filming and editing. Instead of doing multiple reviews of the same car in the same generation why not just do a video of the differences in trim and features instead of doing a full review of say the 17 Cherokee latitude and 16 Cherokee limited like you have done. I think it would be more useful this way and you can always sticky the older review for reference as well.

    • @100RentalCars
      @100RentalCars  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not a bad idea. Although I rent a TON of cars, at least two a week, and I have trouble remembering the differences. Plus, when I do a "full review" it forced me to look at the car all over again, which helps me learn. I still know so little about most of these vehicles, so I want to really look at them each time. Make sense? Btw, thanks for the great comments, and for looking out for me!

    So are you only going to review 100 rental cars or is it just a name?

    • @100RentalCars
      @100RentalCars  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm not sure. I THINK I'll probably keep going, if I make it to 100, but it's hard to say. It's actually a lot of work. What do you think I should do?

    • @elliekim6666
      @elliekim6666 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      100 Rental Cars keep going. What makes your reviews different is that most automotive reviews are of cars with a lot of options and higher trims like the Honda Civic Touring or etc. Since you're not a "professional" and doing it as a hobby with rental cars you can review lower trims so that people can see them. Like this jeep Cherokee even in the limited trim I've only seen it with the 2.4L engine in rental cars while a review unit will probably have the upgraded 6 cylinder.

  • @brotha1984

    Man I'm glad I just got rid of my cherokee latitude and upgraded to Grand cherokee no regrets that 2.4 engine is hideously slow lag factor if you gone mess with a cherokee either get a v6 or a grand cherokee you won't regret it

    FYI- in your description you say it's a FWD keep.
    It's a 4x4

      @100RentalCars  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're right! Thanks for catching this. I write the description while I'm learning about the car (before I edit the footage together) and sometimes I forget to change it. I'll make the correction now. Thank you!

      Oceanic Flight well its still going to drive like a FWD specially with its AWD system not a true 4x4
