The Jeep Cherokee is a line of vehicles sold by Jeep under various vehicle classes. Originally sold as a variant of the popular Jeep Wagoneer, the Cherokee has evolved from a full-size SUV to one of the first compact SUVs and eventually into its current incarnation as a crossover SUV. The nameplate has been in continuous use in some form since 1974 and also spawned Jeep's most successful vehicle, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which was originally slated to be part of the Cherokee's lineup. The vehicle is named after the Cherokee tribe of Native Americans.

For the fifth generation, the Cherokee nameplate returned to North America as the vehicle was converted to a crossover and grew to midsize in order to make room for the Jeep Renegade below the Cherokee and Compass. It was introduced for the 2014 model year at the 2013 New York International Auto Show and the sales started in November 2013.[14][17][17] The Cherokee is the first Jeep vehicle to be built on the Fiat Compact/Compact U.S. Wide platform, co-developed by Chrysler and Fiat.[16] The Jeep Cherokee is built at Toledo North Assembly Plant in Toledo, Ohio.[18]
The Cherokee has a highway fuel economy rating of 31 miles per U.S. gallon (7.6 L/100 km; 37 mpg‑imp);[16] and a 45% better fuel economy rating than the Liberty/Cherokee it replaced.[17][18]
Despite its controversial front end styling[17][18] , the fifth-generation Cherokee would become such a sales success that FCA discontinued the slow-selling Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200 (both mechanically similar to the Cherokee) in order to increase production capacity for the Cherokee to meet demand. For 2018 the front end is to be updated to a more conservative style. Expedition Money LLC

Dude, all these things are the smallest things that only bother you. Cars have a overhang, and you just have to deal with brushing against the bumper, it's the same worth every car. I love my 2017 Cherrokee, and always will.

I think you’re wrong about the panoramic sunroof it’s gorgeous and makes the Jeep more luxurious. I guess it’s personal taste

I have a 2015 Cherokee Limited with even fewer features and I still like it a lot. The Chrysler uConnect touchscreen is the best touchscreen you can get on the market. I do have the RA4 option which gives you the nav, the HD radio, and the Sirius travel link. The voice control button does a bit more than you mentioned. For example I can control the stereo completely I can even tell the car what I want the inside temperature to be. For the exeption of Bluetooth audio, I can control the audio completely. And I have the most recent update where you can use Siri for the iPhone by holding down the voice button.

i agree Wendy, the LIberty was a terrible vehicle. the only Jeeps that are worth buying, is this Jeep Cherokee, the Grand Cherokee which is nice as well, and the Jeep Wrangler. im not sure about the Jeep Compass, but those Jeeps that i mentioned are good.

This guy went to Jeep closed his eyes and said give me the new Cherokee, make sure I get the under powered engine for better mpg, give me only 2 bells and whistles not all of them, it sounds like you aren't happy at all with ur jeep, even tho you said overall ur happy tough critic, detailed review

    • @ravenjames3873
      @ravenjames3873 6 ปีที่แล้ว

i think every time you close your eyes you get punched in the face. im sure he's fine with his Jeep Cherokee, but he gave an honest review. he said what he liked and what he didn't like, and the 4 cylinder was one of those things. but your too stupid to pay attention and listen, take your fucking ass some where else.

    • @Joemun77

Jonathan Moosey yes it should be the V6 moves effortlessly and well equipped one thing i was not happy about was the front seat, its a 6 way manual its comfortable and heated but not a automatic adjustable seat with lumbar support ... dealer option is 700 to replace smh so that was only peeve but the rest of the car is perfect to me

This poor vehicle gets beat up like an unwanted street orphan..I own the 2017 jeep cherokee latitude 4 cyl. and I am quite
happy with my purchase so far...I was concerned about the 9 speed automatic transmission.. but so far so good..
I usually buy toyota and honda vehicles ..but I liked everything about the cherokee so I purchased it.Hope it will give me many years of trouble-free driving pleasure. The jeep people seem to want to keep the customer happy with their purchase.

They got adaptive cruise control but didn't opt for the power lift gate? What's that about? Also, my Cherokee came with some hooks to put on that bar in the rear for grocery bags and what not.

    • @disneyfan9099

Doug Smith you have to get the luxury package on the Limited or Trailhawk to get the power liftgate as well as ventilated seats and the back cargo cover. All are standard on Overland however.

I have the same 2017 Latitude Cherokee - without the nav. I know the Nav license can be purchased but its very expensive....and I use Waze anyway and prefer that over any other nav program especially a $500+ nav program thats doesnt give red light or speed camera info. Waze assist with red light cameras, speed cameras, and cop locations plus many other things. It wont show on screen but the radio gives directions which is good. Waze is also free.

I backed into a street light with a different car. The post hit the bumper, and that was it. With this Cherokee, the overhang on the tailgate would have been heavily damaged and the bumper would not have come into play

Since Fiat took over Jeeps design they have become a hodgepodge of gimmicks and poor design planning. I can't wait to see how they ruin the new Jeep Wrangler. I loved my Jeep Liberty Renegade. It went anywhere in all types of weather. The downside was poor gas mileage even when you babied it.
