You have to remember that not every collection is going to have major keys / finds in them! However, it is rewarding when you find a few gems inside a mountain of short boxes that you looked through! Be grateful for what you find!
I loved the breakdown, Gary. So, I collected back in the late 80's to mid 90's and stopped. I got back in mid-2017. I am an X-Men fan, so the majority of my collection is based around them. So, I could definitely see the lack of major keys in that collection. My 40 long box collection probably doesn't have a large number of major keys to the community, but to me...the collection is glorious.
The Crow Comic is definitely something that shouldnt be ignore by any means,as its popularity along with its value Will Will definitely rise. Your definitely on point with all of those Comics currently Being shown, loved it entirely-"Thanks!!"
I think you made out alright - I’m with you on getting more keys, it seems you should have more with 48 boxes -but eh - still not bad - thanks for sharing
Keep 'em coming, Gary! I really enjoy watching & learning through these videos, especially when they're broken into easily digestible 15-minute segments. As always, thanks for sharing the hobby, and all the best to you in the new year!
It really all depends on the collection. I would have expected more then that in 48 short boxes. The era and what the collector was reading will dictate how many keys you will find I think. My question you you Gary is where do you store all your comics when you buy 52 or 48 box lol? I buy small collections like 3-9 boxes and I have had to stop for a min until I can make more room lol
So clearly, the marbles has come and gone. It’s been a long time incoming this video but I do appreciate it. Some really nice books OK have a good weekend
Hey, I saw you at NY Comic Con through a sea of people... By the time I got over to where you were, you were gone... Lol... What a madhouse that was!!!! 3hrs just to find a parking spot!!! Never again my friend... Just wanted to say hi... Ty for sharing...
Another interesting thing to maybe add to the retro if you get another collection like this would be to talk about how you feel about what you paid for it. With something this large I'm sure there is a larger margin of uncertainty on the offer made so it could be interesting to hear about why you either went too high or what the seller could have done better to present it if you went too low.
Can't really judge a collection on quantity of boxes. I keep three short boxes. One to sell. One for keys. And one for super keys that need to go to CGC.
Life is like a box of comics...
I really enjoyed each and every video thanks Gary as always 👍
I watched the whole run of videos with this, but I'm really enjoying this wrap-up/"Best Of" video.

Really love these types of videos! I've learned so much from them! Keep 'em coming!
I think that’s fairly decent for 48 boxes. Especially since you mentioned they were mostly reader books.
Great video Gary

For a big collection, I'd hope for at least 1+ key per box.

What did u pay for the 48 box collection?
how much did you pay for this collection??
Finally! Is it possible to do the runs that came out of the 52 boxes rather than the keys?
How long does it take to turn over 48 boxes of comics?
What did you pay for it?
