- Portland Maine is one of the most beautiful shorelines you can see! Gorgeous Lighthouses, rocky coastline, Islands and amazing food make this port city very unique and a must visit for anyone looking for a great time. We saw Nubble Lighthouse, Portland Head Lighthouse, Peaks Island and the Desert of Maine all in one 2 day trip. The lobster rolls and cuisine here is to die for, if you love seafood this is your spot. We only wish we had more time to spend in Portland but this gives us more reason to come back. I'm going to be going here. I'm concerned if the area and city of Portland Maine is safe in general? Is it safe?
In our experience Portland was safe, we walked everywhere in the city during day and night and didn’t feel unsafe. It was actually very fun to walk around and see the city, you will love it for sure! I hope you have a great time! Let us know what you thought about it after you visit.
