I love these types of stitch. I lose count no matter how hard I try (adhd sucks), so stitches that you can clearly see what you've done and what goes next are a blessing
Thank you!!!! I’ve literally learned EVERYTHING I know about crochet from you!!! Thank you for a new stitch!! I’m so excited to use it to make a baby blanket for my nieces
I loved the look of this pattern and experimented with it to make sleeves for a cardigan. I chained 30 and made a circle then followed this pattern. Every increase was done in the single crochet round. It looks amazing, thank you for the fantastic tutorial! 😊
I love your tutorials. I am a brand new crocheter, learning by watching videos. I have the most problems with the last and first stitches. Sometimes, I want to ask you to move your thumbs, as you tend to put them on the first and last stitches. Love learning from you!
Hi Toni! I have the same issue at times and I've known crochet for over 15 years.. still learning. It's an endless art that always requires more knowledge! Keep it up!!
First and last stitches, seaming neatly, and filling in odd gaps at the beginning of rows. And getting the gauge right without doing a proper blocked swatch! Some yarns block out, some don't. Some stitches and yarns drape, some don't. Every project feels like a test run. I can see. why experienced crafters stick to the same yarns and patterns.
Robin, I so enjoy your tutorials. Your voice is super calming, I never feel rushed where I have to rewind, and you are a very talented teacher. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and crochet wisdom with us beginners. I have self taught with TH-cam tutorials for 3 years now, but I still feel like a beginner, duh!!! You help me to feel better about my crochet skills ❣️ I just love you so much. I was so glad when you did a q&a, as I was able to put a beautiful face with your beautiful voice 🥰 LeeAnne from Florida.🐊🐊
What a wonderful comment LeeAnne, thank you so much!🥰 There is no rush on learning crochet and the different stitches etc, as long as you are enjoying it.x
This is such a pretty pattern, only 2 row repeat ,i have crocheted a blanket in white with this pattern, its my favourite for a baby blanket,i dont think anyone will be disappointed
Robin, this stitch is so beautiful. I tried following another TH-camr but she confused me so badly. I find your way of doing this stitch so much easier to follow. Thank you for sharing.
I am learning how to do the granny square ( not really learning I’m kinda a PRO now) You helped so much ( I also had a bit of help from my granny she’s amazing at crochet
Hi Robin, you are brilliant. I have tried the crossed stitch before, and yes, it just looked squashed. Thanks to you I now know where I went wrong, didn't stretch them. X K
Thank you so much for a new way for me to be happy. I love learning new stitches to keep my family warm and toasty. This is super easy and very versatile and looks complicated!!
Thank you so much for explaining how to work the cross stitch. So simple! I never used this stitch because my cross stitches always looked angry 😤 you make it so easy to understand 🥰🥰🥰
Love your videos as always, but I always kind of feel badly for the loop on the hook… “it doesn’t count as anything… only the fully formed loops.” Aww poor malformed and unfinished loop, I still love you! 😅
I've been searching desperately for this stitch- my child received a blanket when he was born and it's started to tear! This looks like the stitch that was used, but the maker of the original Blankie has passed away. Thank you so much!!
Oh how fun! I found a ball of fine sparkle yarn. I'm using a 4 size larger hook and my scarf is gorgeous. Very light and airy, perfect for dressing up an outfit. Thank you very much.
Thanks Robin, Im making a Mandala Throw and there was an awful stitch, so I frogged that row and replaced with this one! Love it...xx Jilly in Sydney Australia
I just saw something that had this stitch in it. I didn't know what the stitch was called. I do not buy patterns for certain things as I can usually just spot the stitch and replicate with a clear photo. I was just about to experiment blindly when this tutorial popped up! I am thankful because this is actually much easier then it appeared!
I subbed this stitch in for the lacy row on the Playful Ripples Throw pattern on Yarnspirations. This works much better and still gives that special touch like the original but is easier to do. Thanks.

I love these types of stitch. I lose count no matter how hard I try (adhd sucks), so stitches that you can clearly see what you've done and what goes next are a blessing
Same here! I also have ADHD and stitch markers are pretty much essential for any project I do. It's nice to not have to keep count.
ADHD here too, and like diasykid3 said STITCH MARKERS, LOL.
I love how you teach these stitches. You always explain things so well and show it a few times. Love this one.
Thank you so much Nancy! 🥰🤗
