    I've owned this knife for a few years now, and I think it is one of the best blades around. I've owned more blades than I can remember, from makers like Spyderco, Benchmade, Cold Steel, and more. I initially purchased two neck knives from Cold Steel( The Double Agent karambit, and the Spike. Good knives, but I never felt comfortable with them as neck knives. Then I had a Boker Kwaito, and even though it could be carried as a neck knife, I thought it was too large for that purpose. Then I saw a you tube video for this knife. Doug Marcaida did a very good job of selling this knife. I did the research on it, and found it to be everything he said it was. Good steel, comfortable to wear(this is my first every day carry neck knife), and very user friendly. My nephew liked it, and purchased one for himself. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a neck knife, whether for tasks, or defense. This is truly an EDC knife for all occasions.

    You can also deploy it into an underhand grip even if the edge is facing towards your left. Just "pinch" or hook the ring with your thumb facing away from you and your index behind the ring towards your body. As you pull it let it fall naturally into your index finger and there you are. It's just as quick as the other way and gives you the option for either grip without having to switch the orientation of the knife around your neck.

    Bought the Dmax 2. Arrived with odd grind angles, which normally I'd be upset about. But I like to reprofile my karambit edges to have higher relief edges for a keener blade, so it isn't a big deal

      Valente Leanos don’t use a blocky stone. Use a round diamond rod. Keep your strokes at the same angle, not too much pressure!

    You guys should produce a Double edge version. Top not fully sharpend, just the half. For better clinch options
    Maybe serrated

    The only down side to a neck knife is if your attacker gets you down before you can deploy it ends up under your armpit and you have to dig around to get to your knife. Always have a main edc you can get to just in case your down. Never carry just a neck knife unless valid reasons dictate otherwise (laws, where your going, what you have to wear, security restrictions, etc..)

      With the lanyard you can attach it to your belt, or belt loop, and tuck the sheath into your waist band. you can also attach a carabiner to the lanyard for a little more easy attach/removal. Alternatively Boker Knives has a customizeable multi carry system for 60 bucks, that includes a belt clip sheath. They need the blade for 2-3 weeks though.

    I came here from some angry mom blog about how forged in fire doesn't have enough women and how this guy is suposedly dangerous because he sells blades designed "Only for one purpose, hunting the most dangerous game"
    Bullshit I say!
    The knife is a tool!
    The karambit specifically was literally created as a tool not a weapon!

      @@highrize_2286 True, but this knife was designed to provide some tool capabilities as well, such as shaving wood for kindling, or putting a spear point on a piece of wood. will also work to clean fish and/or possibly skin small game in a pinch.

    In a panic situation...hands can get caught in clothing. :) Cost time. Valuable time. Even if one manages to get the hand on the neck knife in less than a second...can get caught on the way out being a hooked blade. Could prove fatal. It's a novelty I think. Just something cool for a Jason Bourne wannabe to carry around. Then there's the laws. Is it legal to own/carry and use?

    • @valenteleanos4774
      @valenteleanos4774 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anderson C That was very close to the dumbest shit I heard in a while. In the case that you may get caught up in your shirt one time out of probably hundreds you deem it to be pointless to cary? As opposed to what? Having nothing at all? Your comment is not logical ,that because you might snag your clothes one time while trying to deploy therefore its pointless to carry a self defense tool .Your same logic applies to guns and look how many lives have been saved due to conceal carry. Stop being dumb, I would much rather have a sharp blade to defend myself rather than nothing.

    • @usefultipstimesavers6391
      @usefultipstimesavers6391 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So, you would rather be butchered than carry a neck knife and fight back to save your life, just because you worry that it might "get caught" in your clothing?

    • @antiantifaterrier5761
      @antiantifaterrier5761 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wear it outside my clothes, and the state I live in it is legal to do so. It is not a gimmick knife, nor am I a Jason Bourne wannabe. Different strokes for different folks. Just find something you are more comfortable carrying...

      Seth Adam Im willing to bet most people care more about defending themselves in the off chance someone tries to hurt you or worse a family member. The chances of you getting caught w a neck knife under your clothes is even less than you getting robbed or something. And no its not illegal to have a knife in most cities its 3 inches or less is legal. I live in Chicago where its illegal to meanbug somebody yet theres more violence here than most cities. Ill take that chance any day.

      Anything can be a concealed weapon dude... plus if you get caught carrying a “concealed weapon” then that means you should check yourself first and think why and how would you get caught. There’s a reason to why it’s called concealed, it’s to stay hidden at all cost, if you get caught then you are not very good at blending in. If you don’t like the idea of concealed weapons then why not just wear it outside your clothing where it can be seen.
