    A man who knows how to build a road - get the road above the water, protect the in situ material and get the water off the road. Very nice work.

    From watching your videos, I think you are one of the best operators of excavation machines I’ve ever seen, but you don’t seem to be too happy with your help and you seem to be a little sad, also, you work alone a lot and work in many isolated places, that’s not good or safe for you, it’s like hiking alone, not a good idea, as one could get hurt or have a health emergency and no body is there to help you-- I’m an older foreman of a crew that put new utilities in mobile home parks, my favorite was new sewer lines and water, along with fire hydrants--God Bless you

    Machine #4, you said it was a “problem”... always remember and never forget, there are never problems, only solutions. I never say I have a problem, I only have solutions to screwed up situations.👍

      The way Chris explains what he’s doing and the reason why he’s doing it is the reason why I like his channel so much, he keeps it interesting. I’ve watched other channels similar to his and they hardly ever speak. They get boring and I usually won’t watch anymore of their videos. I found his channel by chance a few years ago and I watch his videos every day. That’s another big reason why I like his channel, he uploads a new video almost every day.

    Question from someone who knows nothing about digging and moving dirt: why do you park the haul truck with the tipper vertical? I assume it has something to do with allowing the remnants of what was in it to dry out and fall off? Doesn't this have a negative effect on the hydraulic rams holding the tipper up?

    • @grilnam9945
      @grilnam9945 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it probably stops water pooling in it and finding ways to rust anything out. Equally if it’s cold enough expansion and contraction of any ice formed in any weak spots can create bigger holes

    • @Skorpychan
      @Skorpychan 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The tipper sticking up in the air means it's easier to find in the morning.
      Ever lose your car in a car park? It's like that, only with heavy equipment.

    • @mikel9567
      @mikel9567 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've heard a variety of answers but most have said its for drainage. I work for the county and we are forbidden from leaving our box up in the air like that as it could come down on someone. We have to render all of our hydraulics in a safe status so no one can get hurt. I've never ran one of those haul trucks so I don't know if they have the same risks of coming down as our dump trucks do. I do know that when we park our shoulder mowers, the mower deck will tilt down and be on the ground by the next day. So hydraulics releasing is a real thing.
