an remarkable effort from the construction crew, describing what would had happen in a re-education camp. But in reality, they would just set tables and benches in a commutity room (large hall), people will have to sit on a sedge mat or on the ground while having their meal.

Pretty detail, except for the uniform of the Vietnamese army soldiers: too new and clean. Also, everyone have new combat boots, which was a luxury item at that time. Most of ordinary soldier wear sandal. My father was also a soldier at that time , he was trained in Lang Son and then served in the 4th Corp. His unit base was a former South Vietnamese marine base called Song Than (Tsunami).
