There’s something so charming about this deck. It feels very innocent and sweet 🌻

I like this style of art work and the colours. It reminds me of religious icons, which I love. I may end up picking this one up.

As a learner of the tarot I find this deck very helpful in prompting me with 'words' so I can remember. I was drawn to the beautiful colours, almost reminds me of gypsy-bohemian designs or quilts. It doesn't bother me with the hands not being perfect, I'm too absorbed with the colourful images. I love the book's interpretations which has helped me. I love it every time I look at it.

I really like the look of this deck, love the colours and I also like how the words are blended in so they not in your face too much. Love the extra cards too especially The Creator. This one is on my wish list 😍❤️

@@the_hermits_cave yes I can understand that, sometimes it can be just one thing or one card that can put you off the deck, I know that has happened to me before 😊 maybe it will get better as you work with it 🥰

I love the colours and artwork of this deck. Also okay with the keywords. I hardly ever work intuitively with this kind of tarot card but do appreciate it. The colours really cheer me up!

I had a damaged card, too, shame. This deck feels like some kind of rich folksy quilt to me with all the colors, etc. like fabric somehow. I like the nice clear card titles and the keywords sprinkled in subtly. The face forward aspect of Tarot of the Hidden Realms bothered me more than in this one for some reason. There's a Kat Black deck where they all look at you, I think. And I'm not sure how to show non-binary, except in the Lovers, without going to stereotypes. The lack of age bothers me because age adds richness to some cards and it's part of everybody's experience. Thanks for the thoughts, Simon.

I like your channel firstly. I’ve bought and still wish now for decks you like. I am very new to tarot but intuition feels so strong in me doing readings. I wanted to say that I agree on all your points. I then decided this is a folk art deck for me which gives these cards their artist license to create not what others expect should be. The way I want to use these cards as they stand so well individually is to do several deck readings together and this deck will work well with the figurative aspect and the more rounded out deck feel of other decks I work with.

I have this deck and really enjoy the colour pallette and reading with them. This deck was on kickstarter and I almost backed it. It also became available for pre order as a mass produced deck shortly after the campaign ended. I don't mind the faces looking at me.

I originally backed this deck on Kickstarter. I love it as it’s different from any other deck in my collection. Let us know how you get along with the deck once you’ve had a chance to get to know it. Thanks for sharing your initial thoughts, Simon. 💚

I’m undecided if I like the keywords or if they would annoy me after a while. While watching the flip through, I kept looking at the keywords rather than the images. I’m a little burnt out with all the new card releases.
I look forward to everyone’s thoughts.

I bought this deck 2 weeks ago: extreme stunning quality for a little mass market price. 13.99€. This quality (thanks to arkana) is hardly rare to find for this money. I was triggerd to read here, that "this deck is not enough" :// Sorry people - that's simply wrong! As a female person I'm very glad to have in my collection this soft and gentle tarot with especially f e m a l e vibes.
It's true, that it matches with young people b u t also with those, who stayed young in their hearts .. .. !! Remembering the inner child work. The artwork is in point of grafifdesign (!) s u p e r done !! Cat Pierce as a famous singer, artist, did an amazing job also here. Guidebook is absolutely trusting, warming in thermes of empowering.
This deck - no matter how gentle it looks like on surface - y o u have to look deeper::: for example this page of swords with both hands around the blade!! Shadowmeaning: to be naive can hurt! Messages in this deck are transportet with love and on a gentle way. There are no shocking and triggering vibes but a lot of female power found in harmony and balance. So it also is a deck to find calm and peace in meditiation with the images (Sorry for my english !!)
The described "eyes" don't trigger me at all: For me that's the general sign for the seeing spiritual person. Here also is the message: You are seen (in positive way) in thermes that you are not alone (trusting). Cause this deck is comunicating with you - the figures are looking at you - eye contact in psychological way works every time - even if the person, who looks you into the eyes, is not real (image). The accompanying aspect is very nicely given here. And you find this aspect in other Tarot decks too.
You have to be open for the energy of this Tarot. Diversity is on vogue. But female empowerment is also still very important. Even if we are in 2022. This deck is little treasure. I'm 48 years old - my daughter 17. She also find it amazing point of view artwork.
I egged it dark vibrant violet in corresponding with the female vibes, which are very nurrishing in our world.
So now I hope (sry for the long text), that the respect for the artwork is given. Thanks @Cat Pierce for your work.
Thank you Simon for your chanel: a treasure too!! There is no deck, i wanted to see a review on it, which i didn't find on yourchanel!! ☺💐🌞👌
@ Boho Tarot is a female perspective on this deck, which is completing the way point of working with The wandering Star Tarot, if you are curious.

Hi Simon. Yeah, I bought it as someone described the cards liken to stained glass windows. And the colors are beautiful. In shuffling hand over hand, there was some pretty quick damage to several cards. (I showed a picture of the damage on Instagram.) But the thing that bugged me is not just face forward, but the countenance on each face - kind of Stepford-Wife-ish (The movie where all the wives are replaced with robots.) It's a shame bc I love the style and the artist is very talented. What can I say - I'm not an artist - It's gorgeous. But those were my take-a-ways.
Have a lovely holiday! Try not to be too busy! 💜
P.S. - I do wish to see body type diversity, especially in a modern deck. 😉

I very much agree. The close-ups, face-on images, and keywords prevent me from including this in my diverse collection. I do love the colors and the sharpness of the images. I love the style of the illustrations and the matte finish but it's not enough. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for this flip through and discussion, Simon, I find them very helpful in my decisions to buy or not to buy (apologies to Hamlet). I find the art very charming and fun. Love the colors. I also think the guidebook looks very good, and like you, I'm a sucker for a good quote. I think the artist would make a wonderful children's book illustrator and I particularly liked the cards featuring animals, The Wheel was one of my favorites. However, it's not a fluke that I pretty much only like those cards. I find the people's faces blank and stiff. The cards don't evoke much for me as a reader. As you point out, no real diversity when it comes to age (especially in the women) or in body type. I think it would make a good beginner deck for a young person, especially with the key words. Thank you!

I backed this deck on Kickstarter and I was drawn to the folksy? Bohemian? Look ….and I love the keywords are unobtrusive and it’s Cat Pierce 😻 I don’t think every deck needs diversity….There’s not a fat person… There’s not a skinny person… There’s too many pretty people… There’s not different skin tones… There’s not older people… there’s no non-binary people…….Sorry not coming at you I’m just venting in general I’m just sick of hearing it…and don’t get me wrong I’m not in love with this deck…I just seemed to have gotten triggered this morning and I get the #Tarotsowhite….I have the beautiful Hoodoo Tarot and I can’t use it because I don’t see myself so yes I get there needs to be diversity……creators need to be able to do the art in their heart and not worry if it’s not politically correct for the masses…if it’s for you….get it ….if it’s not pass on it! Sorry (not Sorry) if I offended anyone ❤️💜💙🖤🌙🎄

@@maxheadroom7687 yes my point … just let me know how the card stock feels… how beautiful the art work is or isn’t…I can see the cards and weather it will work for me or not I get the diversity thing but don’t need to hear it with every deck review IMHO

I’m sorry you guys don’t appreciate my stance on this. But I will not change discussing in my reviews what I consider to be very important. You might not, and that is fine. However, I want to see the environment around me represented in my decks, not skinny, white beautiful people. It’s not the real world, or certainly not the world I live in.

Very colorful cards. But you can't even get away from being stared at by the backs of the cards with that eye glaring at you. Wandering Star? The deck could benefit from a wandering eye or two.
