    I have complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) too as well as Fibromyaglia and one time I had doctors tell me I'm faking my pain and refused to give me medicine when I had been admitted in hospital. The pain was so severe I was screaming for hours and blacked out. They called my doctor to verify I wasn't lying and she went off on them and made them sudate me.

    I remember my mom telling me she went to a doctor once and was just describing the pain she was experiencing and the doctor just immediately said "I'm not giving you opiods" right off the bat. As if my mom was lying for the sake of getting drugs prescribed. I wonder how people have been left to deal with pain or symptoms getting worse just because their doctor assumes they're lying or doing smthg shady.

    Note about the 2nd video clip of the lady in orange. There is a difference between seeing a psychologist and a psychiatrist. Learn the difference before you book an appointment. A psychologist is the one who will listen to you explain how you're feeling or what you went through and suggest healthy outlets that will lead to healing past trauma or managing an ongoing situation in a better manner.
    A psychiatrist will just diagnose you with something and prescribe some type of medical drugs to take and call it a day. Don't be like her and go to a psychiatrist when you needed to go to a psychologist.

      So psychiatrist are bad?

    • @Sephiroso.
      @Sephiroso. ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@lovelykayyz No, not saying they're bad. It's just important to know the difference between the two. A psychologist will often refer a client to a psychiatrist for medication if they think that's the best method for them to overcome whatever it is they went to the psychologist for.
      But that 2nd clip lady had the experience she did because she went to a psychiatrist first on her own and didn't go to a psychologist.

    I can name the number of good doctors who've treated me with a modicum of respect, on one hand so I feel for these women truly. I've been accused of being a drug addict and threatened to call police, gaslighting, intimidation tactics, I was even told to get pregnant it could take my pain away, I was a minor! The level of ego behind these men is disgusting. A quick tip I've found that works really well, when you go in pull out a notepad and write down everything that doc says to you, or make it look like you are, just the act of doing this is enough to make them sit up and take notice. Hopefully it will make them treat you more professionally at the risk of getting in trouble. DO NOT use a recorder that's illegal, just pen and paper. It's worked great for me so far. Stay strong ladies, don't let them get you down! ✌🏻💗

I’ve been in and out of hospitals and I’ve been diagnosed with things ranging from tight muscles to sciatica…because they didn’t know what was wrong with me. I’ve been called crazy multiple times and told I was lying. While in the ER I’ve had doctors bring other doctors in to tell me all the pain is in my head and it’s not real. I’m currently 22 and my doctor referred me to a new doctor last year to which I found out I have scoliosis, and torn tendons in my knee 💀 so yeah I’m totally not crazy like they said

    My therapist from my childhood told me I acted like her son. Lol she said i had trouble formulating my thoughts. Truth is I just didn't want to truly open up to her because I had an issue trusting adults. I had no problem getting my thoughts together.
    A doctor at a hospital didnt want to give me a sonogram even though i was in immense pain in my lower abdomen. She kept insisting it was my period coming on. I was 26 at the time and reiterated over and over that my period already ended a week ago. I knew my body and that something was wrong. My mom was there because she rushed me there. She got so pissed that she demanded they did thorough testing on me or she will cause a scene. They did a sonogram finally. They saw I had 3 cysts on my uterus and ovaries that were close to bursting. Smh I could have di3d, bruh.

    My freshman year of high school one of my teachers told my dad that I needed to go see the school therapist for “anger issues”. And when I went with my father, he just went in on me in front of her, saying horrible things to me and she didn’t do nothing, they never listened to me, I felt like I was being punished and it even made me more angry because in my mind I just wasn’t letting adults disrespect me or treat me like I’m stupid, but I was seen as the “angry teenage boy who is disrespectful”.

    My brother use to have nose bleeds occasionally while growing up & every-time he was seen by our family doctor it was passed off as sinusitis, as the years went by the nose bleeding never disappeared it would come & go, & there were never specific times it would start bleeding just randomly.
    My dad gave up on the family doctor and took him to a hospital when it got worse when he was 12 & come to find out he had a very rare type of leukemia & the nose bleeds were due to the leukemia.
    It was suppose to be one of the most treatable types of leukemia if it is caught soon but a year later and after going into remission it came back stronger and took him within a week.
    I hate to blame our family doctor but it does cross my mind every now and then if my brother might still be here if he would have done his job correctly and ran some tests instead of only prescribing the same medications every time my brother visited.

I was still on the bed in the hall (was crowded) & they just told me to go to cvs & get medicine. Mind you my friend & I were in bed dying for a week. Couldn’t eat could barely move.
