I've always hated my back camera photos and side profile because my lips were always irregular or too long, this even made me think I have bent lips naturally. It even made me think I wasn't beautiful 😭😭 But now, I've just realized that everything depends on the camera lens and other factors. Thankyou so much for this video. My self esteem is BACK !!!!! 🎉🎉
Make it so easy to understand lenses and their respective application. Wonderful video to go through before considering any lens. Thanks and bunch of support brother❤
I got used Nikon coolpix 510 42x telephoto 24-1000. Yes 12 year old edition yes no wi fi Yes great pictures Think 16megapixal sensor Like coolpix Great pictures
Hello what would be a good lens that I can use for other stuff but my main focus at the moment is to shoot at high school basketball games if I only want to buy one ? I wanted something with zoom and also wide I know nothing so not even sure if all the features I’d like could be found in one 🤔 I would like to have the option for bokeh too. What would you recommend for the canon eos r100 ? Thank you Out of curiosity everything you mentioned, can all those features be found in one single lens ?
Hii! I'm planning on getting the Sony zv e10 as a beginner camera body but i'm kind of lost when it comes to lenses. I'm looking for something that'll work for both photography and videography. I'll mostly use it for travel videos/photos for now (Insta). Do you have any suggestions for a lense? It would be nice if the apparture was decent too since i want to get nighttime shots of the city and myself when i travel :)))
yes! sony has been making lenses for exactly your type of shooting. I would check out the sony 24-50 zoom and 16-25 zoom . But these lenses cost almost as much as your camera. So if you don't want to spend that much. Try their relatively affordable sony FE lenses. the 35mm and 28mm are great starter lenses. All of these lenses have a wide aperture. best of luck, comment back if you have any questions
I didn't need to watch that video but, man, it's well done. EIGHT minutes. Good job man. It's a good starting line for a noob, I will surely save it when someone needs it, I can't explain it better for sure.
I would say do a 35mm or 50mm. Because you want something close enough to show the food but not so wide that you see off the pan/cutting board. But i would do a 24 or 16mm lens for the full body talking shot
Creating a new studio at work for video podcasting. The room is very small. I've been tasked with purchasing equipment for this setup and have been considering between the Canon R8 and Sony FX30. Which one would you recommend and what wide angle lens would you go with? Thanks for the video.
1000% the only choice is the fx30. The r8 will not hold up a a podcast camera at all when it comes to over heating. . The fx30 will also give you much better audio with the built in audio handle. fx30 is the way to go. I really like the sigma 16mm or the new sony 16-24mm zoom
Hi I’m a photographer starting out and my main focus is concert/festival photography what type of lens would be optimal for that? These type of environments are very lowlight
Im a beginer in travel vlogging, want to switch to camera, please suggest me a lens, where i can get no distortion , wide and background blur , for my videos..
distortion is most noticeable when you are close to a wide lens. And its an inherent part of the characteristics. a 16mm is you ideal focal length. ANy beginer zoom lens should be fine. I don't know what camera system you have so I cannot give a specific recomendation
Any suggestions on an upgraded from the kit lens for my Rebel t6 18-50mm-ish and $500 range? I want a sharper lens thats versatile, more bang for my buck, if you will. Looking to shoot landscape to indoor/outdoor portraits. I'm so overwhelmed with everything i've been reading online.
I throw in the Nifty Fifty mostly everytime, someone asks me, with what lense should he/she start with or what to get next after their kitlense. Mostly not because of the reason of "sharper image, or you need less light". No, mostly because it forces them to get more creative in compositing their shots. Where to position, how to position and such. Sure, it's like throwing a kid in to the pool to teach them how to swim and they can get pretty frustrated. But for the most time, it works out.
hello guys, i have a sony a6400 with a 18-135 f/3.5 - 5.6 and i want to know if buying a 16mm f/1.4prime lens for music vids is a good decision. Can somebody help me out please ?
You should consider a ricoh griiix . its basicaly the most popular camera for that style. Otherwise consider a a7cii with a 28 mm or 40mm. or a vintage lens if you are okay with manual focus
Questions I need to ask myself) Prime or zoom Focal length (look, field of view) the right type of lens (which affect character and style of image based on manufacturer)
Im a beginner with limited knowledge of focal length, all of my experience has come from a cannon superzoom fixed lens camera. I knew there was more to focal Length than the crop/ zoom that everyone shows with boxes layered on one image but couldn’t find a good description… this video nailed it! This makes perfect sense, and simplified the stylistic differences in lens choice. Huge thanks
I’m an absolute noob to cameras and lenses - and this video has explained so much in a very concise manner
Exactly, the problem is we can't buy any of them
agreed!
Same!
I’m on the market for a new lens this video came in clutch.
happy to hear
Me too. Right on time!
After watching ten other videos, finally someone who explains it so that I understand this 👍
Right money , right lens
Paid $300 camera with lens. Strap and tripod
@@jameschetwynd which one could please explain more on it

Excellent work man. Great video. Very detailed and legit information packed in to a quick video. Awesome job.

great video, im a super beginner and looking for a lens for toys. Super helpful ! thank you!
The ideal lens would be a 85 or 50mm you can get close in to your subject and show the details
This is an extremely good educational video. Thank you.

@@TechThroughTheLens yes, definitely. 2 hot topics for new photographers are sensor size with different lenses and SS Vs F Vs Iso.
Thanks alot for this clear description! Very helpful ✨
You're very welcome!
My question is does this also apply to video lens's as well?
What is the best lens you'd recommend for shooting cooking videos?
I would say do a 35mm or 50mm. Because you want something close enough to show the food but not so wide that you see off the pan/cutting board. But i would do a 24 or 16mm lens for the full body talking shot
I hope metalens along with new graphene sensor technology come out soon for super compact camera's. Which brand lens are best at reasonable price?
Thanks for the video.
Which lens and camera did you use to shoot this video? 35mm?
This is such a helpful video! thanks

I just purchased a sony ev10 with a 16-50 lens. What second lens should I consider purchasing to start my learning journey?
What lens would you recommend me which is good for vlogging but can also shoot regular photos like on vacation?
Watching from Nigeria 🇳🇬❤❤
The link to your Amazon storefront doesn’t work 😢
I already got the 50. Would it be worth it to get 85 as well or would it be too similar to the 50?
amazing advice, thank you so much

Great video, subscribed.
Amazing explanation
What would you think would be good for a telephoto lens?
Can u use a vintage film camera lens with a mirrorless new lens?
What about a Nikon 5100 18-55mm lens and 70-300 lens? It’s all selling for 450$?
Need help please
Great vid as always. I kinda miss the shorter hair, and the amazon equipment list isn't working lol
let me double check the list. and i kinda miss my short hair too. I desperately need a hair cut right now.
I have tried multiple times to purchase/download your series of 7 videos for smart phones. The “Discount” code does not work. Please advise.

@TechThroughTheLens thank you so much ❤️❤️
What's the best focal length for imitating the human field of view for videography? 35mm or 50 mm?
I have heard it is 40mm
it would have came in handy had you noted down which lens you were talking about somewhere in a corner, had to rewind a few times
great point. will make sure to do that in the future
Questions I need to ask myself)
Prime or zoom
Focal length (look, field of view)
the right type of lens (which affect character and style of image based on manufacturer)
You got it! Those are the big three

BOW KAY!! OK! :D
Focal length choice is a story telling device. That’s all.
well said. I’m stealing that phrasing for the next lens video
18mm to 50mm lens is good?
the sigma 18-50 f2.8 is great if that’s what you meant
@@TechThroughTheLens yes it came with the camera its called zoom lens or prime lens. Thanks for the answer
Me watching from my above avarage Poco f5 😂
This video is too fast - no time to examine differences between lenses and focal length.
