Upon cleaning out my Moms house after her passing, I found items I gave her, never used😢 It’s sad because I gave her those things to enjoy! I totally believe in utilizing what I have no matter how expensive because I also “pay” for it with decreased price per wear. I’d rather have fewer nice things that I wear repeatedly so I really appreciate the content that you share💝
Sorry to hear that! I agree with you 100%, things are meant to be enjoyed. I recently read a book and the author says how his grandmother spent thousands on a leather sofa, but even on her last day, the sofa was still covered in plastic coating-- she wouldn't let anyone sit on it without. It made me think about the topic xx

Thanks, Eileen for all your wonderful videos! You are a SAGE; great advice, and so right about "cutting out the noises" and essentially staying true to one's reality. 👏❤🌺🌹🏵
I forgot to comment on your previous video about you taking an break from work. I’m a fellow dentist and so pleased for you that you’ve found the space, stability and courage to take a break, however long it is for. You’re a person before a job title and taking time to enjoy your personal life is so crucial to living well. I took about 18months off after having our son and have gone back to work in a different capacity and role. It’s so energising now because I feel like I’m growing again. Wishing you a happy and growthful time during your break 😊
YES!! I go back to them time & time again! I love the zippered expandable totes with the shoulder straps. They’re harder to find but Nordstrom often did an exclusive one!
Yes, I Agree, buy what You like!!! By doing so will save you so much in time, space, stress and money. Even on TH-cam & IG with influencers... Be Mindful of who/ what Influence you.💯💛✨️
Precisely! My sister and I were at the point we felt we had nothing to wear and the wardrobes overflowing. It takes time, thinking and intentionality to compose a wardrobe. I‘ve learn’t that a little late in life but now getting out of the house and be prepared for all situations that come in life is easier.
As Always..You've given us True Words of Wisdom! One of the things about learning to live less Stressed & Caring more for our Health is to really consider not only cost, (can the money be better used elsewhere) but where you will put it, the amount of space it will take up, the maintenance of it (is it washable or does it need dry cleaned? etc) is it practical, will it suit my personality, will it look good on me, is it the colors I've chosen as my flattering colors, many things should be taken into consideration! Considering these kinds of things stops compulsive spending, completely! You are looking so good since you took your leave of absence! You look less stressed & more relaxed & rested! I think you enjoying your little recliner chair, cozy blanket & your reader with a hot cup of Tea is just the RX you needed! Especially after surgery! I hope that it will work out for you to be at home more & not have to get back into "The Rat Race" again! Cheers!🌷😊🌷🇺🇸

Hi Eileen greetings from Melbourne. Every time you post a lovely vlog, I pick up something new and I can't wait to finally have everything all together to sort through and make changes. At the end of 23 my life is going to change significantly, I'm retiring and going to start a large house renovation so my everyday attire is going be construction boots and hi vis. I have so many classic pieces that are begging to see the light but are packed away ready for shipping. I can't wait to get home and apply All your lessons learned. Ps I love all your super organised draws I presume your inserts came from Ikea? Have a lovely week and I look forward to your next vlog.😊❤👩💼
Agreed with on all points! I heard the “skinny jeans are no longer in style”. I like skinny jeans and they go well with my oversized shirts, so I still wear skinny jeans 😂
Thank you for taking us on your journey with you. I have learned a lot from you and others but mostly from you, I have purchased some luxury items recently and I am purposefully making time and finding reasons to use them and enjoy them. I’m focusing on quality over quantity and mixing and matching luxury with lower priced items to find and enhance my style and personality. Thank you!
I appreciate the commentary. One could go broke following trends. I did some more decluttering last week. It feels as if a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
Love your channel. Do you have a video on Mixing and Matching, creating your own style such as how to put together the right outfits or combinations of clothing? I would love to see something like that. I am learning how to put my own wardrobe together as well as styling it and would love some ideas. Thank you for sharing your video's.
Absolutely agreed....true words of wisdom.....happy to follow yr channel.....u are not minimalist but true to yrslf in spending what u think is worthwhile to invest n use for.......tks for sharing....😊
No Storage: A good Minimal Wardrobe (with few exceptions) is year round layers. Tanks & Tees of summer are Camisol/ base layer for winter. Cosy winter sweater is topper for cool summer evenings. Parka & sandals being some exceptions Great vidi
If you don't mind me asking, how do you care for your cashmere jumpers and Hermes silk/cashmere shawls? Do you dry clean them often or delicate washing?
I go back to Longchamp time & time again! I love the zippered expandable totes with the shoulder straps. They’re harder to find but Nordstrom often did an exclusive one! I put a solid base shaper into mine & love them more that way. I also love the MZ Wallace bags, especially the backpack, tote & bum bag styles. They’ve performed beautifully for me & they’re very low key with a very minimal logo. Have you had experience with MZ Wallace?
My problem is that my lifestyle or rather my deep desire is more 19th century than now. I could spend millions on wedding like princess dresses. I had so much fun during pandemic, evening gowns, heels etc. But I also spent a fortune in 2020🤣 I definitely should be on a red carpet all the time😆😅
I have no idea how yellow and lilac/purple and suddenly the colours for 2023, but I know they don't go with anything in my wardrobe so definitely not planning to add them just for the trend.

Nicely put! xx

Such a helpful video! Thank you Eileen ❤️
Glad it was helpful! Thank youxx
Agree with everything you say as usual but... Hehehe I'm a lawyer and I most definitely do not work 9 to 5... more like 9 to 9, 6 days a week..😅
I agree! Love this!
Thank you!! xx
You are an inspiration. I agree wholeheartedly!
Thank you so much, Linda xx
If you don't mind me asking, how do you care for your cashmere jumpers and Hermes silk/cashmere shawls? Do you dry clean them often or delicate washing?
I hand wash my jumpers but dry clean the shawls xx

Hallo! I'll buy a new bag. For you is better the Evelyne or the Neverfull Louis Vuitton? I need a everyday bag . Thanks
You have amazing style! I love the grey turtleneck in this video- where can I find it?
Very helpful video, thanks for sharing😊
Thank you! xx
Enjoyed this informative video!!
Glad it was helpful! xx
Great advice although getting a new dress can add functionality to your wardrobe if it goes with other items in your wardrobe 😊
Absolutely!! xx
Great advice

I get what you mean! I used to have quite a collection of high heels for the red carpet that never got rolled out for me 🙈

Lilac is so pretty but not my thing xx
