Thanks for the videos, i have learned a lot. I Always have problems with this:
how to mix atmospheres to be heard in the background and panned and not interfere with the kick?. Thanks.

What does it mean when you have a sample your trying to warp and the top and bottom transients don't match?

Great video. Clear and to the point. I watched some other videos where the audio was terrible and the author rambled on. Good job.

Another great video, thanks brother! I knew about the different warp modes and settings but this was very helpful in realizing the full creative potential with a lot of the other modes I don't use as much like the beats mode.

so heres the thing. Changing your preferences for auto-warp in a project only effects samples that have NOT been previously imported into the session. If you create a new session with new preferences for auto - warp, all new samples will be affected. However. When creating an new audio sample of my own (from vinyl or any source i guess) Ableton ALWAYS auto-warps the new piece. The sample has to cropped , saved and then will adhere to any preference changes regarding auto-warp. Left as its original sample, it will always be auto-warped (and looped for that matter) in any session it is dragged into regarding of your preferences.

Hey brilliant video and found really helpfully so 🙏.. I’m really new to ableton and for some reason when I load up a sample or vocal it doesn’t come up with the option of transposse like urs.. I have pitch and ur sample seems to load up in a box called sample.. so basically when I’ve warped my Track it’s not in the right key anymore. When u use the pitch it’s just making the vocal really slow or really fast…do u know why this is?? Any help is much appreciated.. hope this makes sense ?? I have ableton 11 live

Thanks. Your presentation was helpful to me. I suspect that warping degrades the audio quality to some degree, but does it ever create artifact, like creating a pop or click if the marker is not place in a location where the amplitude of the waveform is small?

Great stuff as usual . Quick one.a lot of times I get vocals recorded in garage band and and protools and it's very time consuming to get it in sync with the beat.whats your method.can you please make a video on the topic.especially when tracks come back in different lengths. I normally send the artist a 2track instrumental so I put in in the project and go thru the pain of getting it on point but for some reason it doesn't sound like the 2track version

Hello, and thanks for all this info. . . I wonder if you can tell me why Ableton keeps warping my tracks? I have turned off warp in the preferences, and in the individual track configuration; but each time I record a new track (I'm just recording with a mic and a guitar through a Focusrite USB interface), the "warp" button is lit up yellow, and my tracks are out of sync.
I can't get help from the forums because my license type (I'm using Ableton First and trying to learn the basics), doesn't allow access. I could really use a hand.
    Thanks in advance!

I like using re pitch when I want to change the pitch of a sample because it sounds best to me. Plus the pitch matches the tempo like you said however I can't but feel like its not tuned to the key its in when you adjust the bpm. I've tried using tuner but doesn't read the notes of some samples, how can I make sure its tuned while using re-pitch?
