Canucks have five all stars but also ten players who are on pace for 18+ goals. That's pretty much three plus lines deep that can score at full strength.

Wrong. The power play is WAY underachieving.
How can you put out a full five man unit who are all in the top 50 in scoring (4 in the top 20), 4 of whom are all stars (5 if you count Demko) and still be only have the 12th best powerplay?
Arizona's powerplay is better for cripe's sake.
This will lose them a playoff round. First round if they have to play the Oilers, second round if it is anyone else.
Yes you are right the PP isn’t good enough but our five on five goals are incredible.
And we’re not gonna lose the Oilers if we play them in the first round or second round. Our team is better than theirs.

For me, Mikheyev and Kuzmenko have been an non factor. There’s a bit of money tied up there. Going forward that line is not playoff calibre. Something has to change there for us to be a proper 4-line team.
Good point...but everyone can't have career years. If they contribute here and there we still win games.
@@kempnercanucks Truth. We are okay with them now in the regular season because we are winning, it would be more glaring if say we were competing for a wild card and were desperate. If we were in that situation they would be a focal point. My initial point was they haven’t shown playoff calibre play, which is true, they haven’t. Trev, you know we need 4 solid lines in the playoffs. That 2nd line is not up to snuff. Something needs to change.
Mikheyev is speedy, strong on the forecheck, means well, but the production is lacking. He does make our team faster and can get that puck off a dump and chase, but if it doesn’t result in anything then what’s the point right. I’m just not sure if he’s a bonafide 2nd liner…however I do like him as a 3rd liner, but only if it’s no interference to the Garland line and that whole thing they got going on…maybe put the Garland line up to 2nd and drop the Russians to the 3rd. Kuzmenko has so much potential, I’m not giving up on him yet. He almost needs time in the minors like Höglander, but that’s not a possibility. If Kuzmenko can’t figure it out now then perhaps it’s a silver lining because he won’t be able to figure it out in the playoffs…then management can make presumption moves to properly bolster this lineup. We don’t need any bystanders. No pedestrians. Only playoff players from here on out
I totally hear what you are saying @@Herrlorddonkoenigczar I guess for me it's about having realistic expectations. The Canucks are leading the NHL in Goals For. So they are literally getting the most out of their team than any other team. I agree with your Mikheyev assessment of being a 3rd line talent playing on the top two lines this season. But the cost of getting a top 6 forward is very high. Who can we get or who do we have to give up to upgrade Mikheyev?
@@kempnercanucks I understand Trev. Being realistic is my game too. I think Christian Dvorak is a viable candidate. A 2-way centre up and down the ice. He can skate and check n cover. Not a bad option. Now, he’s not a real big point getter, so it falls short there, but I’m thinking he’s more of a playoff checking type player. Thinking a 1 for 1. Kuzmenko or Mikheyev for Dvorak plus perhaps a sweetener on our end. Maybe it’s not the best suggestion but I remember Dvorak on the Coyotes a few years ago and he was quite solid up and down the ice as a centre…idk perhaps a fit here. I know his speed and two-way play would fit….just not sure on the point percentage and how it correlates with our top 6. I would try it out because that Mikheyev-Kuzmenko line is not showing any promises and is getting stagnant, and on the contrary we should be progressing in that area and not sitting still, my suggestion may not be the best, but they do need to come up with something…and they will. This management has a good feel on what they want. If a lowly me I’ve thought of it, then well they have too. I have complete confidence they will make the right move

You're emotions are blinding you. Teams's need to gain playoff experience which may take years before success, just ask the Ave's, Vegas, Oilers and others. Canucks will be like beginners in the Big Show! When they get knocked out of the first round you'll be crying.
Thanks for watching & commenting. But I'm not blind. This team is on fire. There's very little wrong with this team right now. So trust me when I say this...nothing is blinding me because if you are actually watching the games...what you are seeing is success. What you are seeing is this team is legit. You are right, it 'might' take years before success...but it 'might' not. The Blues were last in the NHL in January and won a Cup. We are not getting knocked out in the 1st round. Playoffs for this team is successful but they way they are playing this season for over half the season now we are expecting more. I'm not planning the parade but what I'm seeing is playoff wins. There's nothing wrong with being excited. If you want to pump the brakes go for it bro. But I'm hitting the gas. Go Canucks go!
