If you’re only a suspect in a crime, the worst you can get is being held in custody until the police verify your whereabouts and alibi. If you’re the perp, just own up to it and face the consequences of what you did. In the end, crime doesn’t pay, and it shouldn’t be allowed to.

We got Adam as Voight’s male version and Hailey as his female version, both loyal, as Jay Kev and Kim are the potential equalizers to something bad happening. That’s what makes them a great unit. They balance off each other despite the difference of perspectives policing. To be honest, I was mad that Hank didn’t pull the damn trigger at the end. It’ll easily made the rest of the season way interesting if you ask me.
And now all of sudden Hailey has turned into a weakie?

Don't get me wrong. I enjoy the episodes of Chicago PD. BUT I MISS the way Voight was and how he protected the city of Chicago seasons 1-4. That's why i started watching the show.

@@Cal90208 it honestly makes me laugh thinking for a sec based on the two that had Voights back in his decision. Through the last several years the writers have tried to show that Ruzek and Upton are like Voight. Those two are "Voight Jrs". If they were around Voight pre Antonio departure days...they probably would have sided with Jay 😂😂😂😂. Voight is just different. And i loved it.
It makes sense why he doesn't. I miss it too however.

But hasn't voigt's whole character ark been change? I didn't start watching ChiPD til 3-4 seasons in and now watch syndi reruns so...idk his deal? He was in prison? He's crooked? He was undercover? So I don't know if he's a good guy or bad guy but he cares and has some morals. Like all tv cops. No1 watchs any show and dislike the characters, flawed they may be.

Why do I see Ruz and Jay and the little angel and devil on Voights shoulders almost? I feel like Ruz has become Voight "yes man" who does like anything he asks. I think it cause Ruz feel like he owes Voight for covering for him with a lot of things. Jay, on the other hand, has become like his voice of reason, like Al was. Jay and Voight have different moral codes and that makes them but heads but also work well together. Ugh, I love this season so much cause we get great storylines, the relationships, and the interactions between different characters.

Jay being the only one who can't be manipulated by hank. He stands by what he believe is the right way. thats what makes him the strongest character in this show

Jay has crossed the line a couple times so he has flaws too. Especially when his pops passed away.. Voight cut back on his old ways but definitely needs to bring them back when it comes to cases like these.. Voight is an Alpha Wolf he’s always gonna do what’s necessary not what’s always right! And that’s why he’s the strongest

I love Hailey. Everyone is kind of annoyed about her 180 turn but I'm not. Hailey held a lot back as a cop and person and she just has her own opinion on justice, law and policing and she carries and holds her own darkness. Also I love Jay and his big heart and his moral compass.
I MISS THE CAGE
Im proud of Voight, I was expecting him to punch the crap out of that suspect.
Voight has come a long way. I appreciated how the writers wrote in the change in him. He has always been good but now he has changed the way he carries out this "good." I mean the smashing the red pick-up scene shows the duality or struggles to conform to this new way of carrying out justice.
