I say the Master Pack should have a much higher chance of finding SR/URs to make it worth digging into. If you want to spend your gems and need materials, that could be a good place to go.
That honestly sounds like a great idea. Especially because SRs and URs unlock packs, so it would honestly be a pretty good way to start pulling. You get a bunch of materials, and it throws a bunch of ideas at you for things you can try.
Or better, make secret pack only be able to pull cards from that Secret packs, and make master packs guaranteed UR and SR. Fking Konami are just too incompetent to make pulling cards attractive.

And he also mentioned he really liked the Junior Journey format and spent a lot of time theorycrafting eventually making a really exciting fusion combo deck. He also was an Avid DL player for a little bit. And even in the TCG he rarely plays the top meta decks, he sticks pretty closely to rogue decks (Subterror, Frogs, Geist, F.A., Bugs, etc.) He is literally known as *the* premier Altergeist player and developed a bread & butter combo that even made it to the OCG, and Altergeist has never even been rated as high as Eldlich normally is.
I really like the idea of sealed games. As fun as progression is, just seeing a completely new set of cards each episode is far more interesting to me, at least in MD.

Because it doesn't have to be destroyed, just sent, it works very well with Vampire's destruction and resurrection focus, but because it has to be specifically Tribute summoned you're not going to be able to use it with things like Duke, Scarlet, or any of our back-row cards, unless you just need a beat stick, in which case you might as well use Red Baron, because it has a mind control effect for monsters that destroys. Although this is just one Vampire player talking and there are definitely strategies where is it works really well, because it has zero defense it's a valid target for Samsara, for example

So you both play awful archetypes. :D (Or you may open 10 Secret Packs of a pack of your choice, and then you have to open 10 packs from another Secret Pack you've unlocked by opening the first pack. They should add a game mode where before you duel, you're given 10 master packs to open and before you duel you're given a limited amount of time to make a deck using only the cards from those packs (the cards are not kept after the duel, but maybe if it's a game mode or event you could be playing for craft parts instead of gems?)
I don't think I've seen a player who loses so consistently to his own inability to read card as much as Doug does
