I've only ever flown it with the 2200. It was noticably nose heavy. Adding counter weight fixed the CG but it's not as nimble. Nice video. I think I'm going to check out a 1300 in the future.

I couldn't agree more. Habu 50 is a great jet.

Honestly, go for it! I’ve never flown an arrows EDF myself, but from what I’ve heard, it won’t be much different other than the fact that the Habu has a rudder, and is probably a little more stable in the air. Other than speed, it’s so simple to handle, and is very forgiving! Happy flying!

I wanted to buy cheaper batteries but I couldn’t find what adapters to buy. Did you also get the adapters on Amazon?

Yes! I did buy the adapters on amazon. They are male XT60s to female EC3. a.co/d/eSiH8B2 Here’s a link to the ones we use.

Does this need a remote id?

With a weight of ~577 grams with a 3S 1300mAh battery, it is over the 250 gram weight limit and does require a remote ID.

@JonsRC how do you install one in these?

What's the advantage of the ELRS receiver?

    • @JonsRC

      1. It’s cheaper! The 4-channel ER4 is $14.99, much cheaper than the much larger brands in the hobby.
      2. The range is phenomenal! With the right equipment, people have gotten things to fly 100km+ on ExpressLRS. Is this necessary for line of sight flying? No! But my field in particular has a “dead zone” where pilots seemingly just lose signal (this has happened to me before), and the cases have always been on Spektrum or Futaba. This has never happened after I switched to ELRS.
While setting it up can be a bit finicky and/or frustrating, I have been so happy with the results. It’s still not very user friendly, but the development team for ExpressLRS is very active and is currently trying to make it as user friendly as can be. Happy flying!

Has the dead zone affected any Radiomaster TX or RX? There are cheaper Radiomaster receivers than $14.99, that aren't ELRS, and of coarse you had to buy an ELRS module. I guess you did this because your TX is a Spektrum. I'm using a Radiomaster Zorro, so I'll just stick with Radiomaster 4 in 1 compatible receivers, which are cheap. Spektrum receivers are way overpriced, just like their transmitters. Thanks for the video.
